God the Father is the Father of our spirits. But if we choose to follow another, then we make that other to be our father.

Before we came to this earth we existed as the spirit children of God our Eternal Father in Heaven. It was we who fought against Lucifer and his minions in the war in heaven. This is why it states in Revelation 12:11 that we overcome him by the Blood of Lamb and by our testimonies and some of us love not our lives unto the death by being put to death for righteousness sake.

In a matter of perspective. If you accept Abrahamic Christianity, than he is, but if you follow another line of faith older or newer than Christianity, then he isn't.
But then, it really comes down to a matter of semantics, doesn't it--- since God is unlimited and eternal, he can afford to go by 100 names.
