what does business have to do with this? In fact, many businesses actually pay for their employees to go to college, or get an advanced degree...they offer solutions to the student loan problem...more used to, because Obama and the Dems horrible takeover of the student loan industry.

Private enterprise, yes? Private institutions are what private colleges are.
Public institutions are cheaper anyway and can be financially controlled, but the quality of education would suffer for sure.

That's a good question. I'm of the opinion that college is 4-5 times the price it should be.

Problem is pointlessly attacking "liberals" while mysteriously giving "conservatives" a pass. BOTH charging AND raising rents for continued education involve at least as many conservatives as liberals. The OP's purpose is just to blame the left, divide and conquer, and draw everyone's attention away from the owner class, oblivious of the clear societal benefit of continued education - something we'd all wish to be affordable and readily available throughout the richest nation on Earth.

So a university that receives federal grants, possibly state funding, tax advantages for private universities ...shouldn’t be pushed to control tuition expenses, while their endowments grow exponentially? Price controls for what is deemed essential is a far cry from tuition expense.
