Raining here, and it's been raining for a week and another few more days of it to go....

Try watching one of the other two versions of the movie, 1964's "The Last Man on Earth" with Vincent Price, or 1971's "The Omega Man" with Charleton Heston. Better yet, read the book by Richard Matheson, it's a very god vampire story. For my money, the 1964 movie is the most true to the book.
