Yes but Christianity did not become a thing until Christ rose back from the dead and his disciples went forth to spread his word... Christ = Christianity Even Jesus was Jewish... that was the religion of the day which led to Christianity....The Holy Trinity did exist then. The Angel of the Lord appears several times in the OT. It is the Son before he was born incarnate in the flesh. The concept of the savior is at the start. Remember, He is the Alpha and the Omega.
The point is, the ancient people (even before they were called “Israelites”) believed such a savior would come.
AI says this...
Christianity began in the 1st century AD, following the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in Judea, a province of the Roman Empire. It emerged from Judaism and was initially spread by Jesus' disciples, particularly Paul the Apostle, who played a key role in spreading Christian teachings to non-Jews (Gentiles) throughout the Roman world.
The faith grew despite persecution and was eventually legalized by Emperor Constantine in the early 4th century AD, leading to its widespread adoption in the Roman Empire.
