Zone1 If the Catholic Faith is THE Faith of Christ, all need to know about it

The Holy Trinity did exist then. The Angel of the Lord appears several times in the OT. It is the Son before he was born incarnate in the flesh. The concept of the savior is at the start. Remember, He is the Alpha and the Omega.

The point is, the ancient people (even before they were called “Israelites”) believed such a savior would come.
Yes but Christianity did not become a thing until Christ rose back from the dead and his disciples went forth to spread his word... Christ = Christianity Even Jesus was Jewish... that was the religion of the day which led to Christianity....

AI says this...
Christianity began in the 1st century AD, following the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in Judea, a province of the Roman Empire. It emerged from Judaism and was initially spread by Jesus' disciples, particularly Paul the Apostle, who played a key role in spreading Christian teachings to non-Jews (Gentiles) throughout the Roman world.

The faith grew despite persecution and was eventually legalized by Emperor Constantine in the early 4th century AD, leading to its widespread adoption in the Roman Empire.

Also, for those interested in how the stories about the Church in modern times relate to stories on other modern issues like Deportations and Walls, there is an article at that site ( which I am still in the process of reading).

I do know that writers at novus ordo watch have for some time been pointing out the hypocrisy of
francis having walls and massive security around HIS domain, yet criticize Trump (and the 77 million who voted for him) for his deportation policies.

I guess the Vatican folks don't even want the violent ones removed? I don't know w/ certainty about that but it wouldn't surprise me.

Me? I want all of them deported.
You are a political ideologue.

“AI”? You can’t be serious.

Christianity is the continuing belief that ancient Israelites had. It’s the one true religion to the one true God. Jews had to reinvent their religion after Jesus came because they rejected the Christ.

How did they reinvent their religion?

You aren't getting this... how can you have Christianity before Christ?... there was a belief in a higher power but it was not called Christianity...

Once Again Hawk... this is what AI says and although you are smart AI is smarter...

Which is exactly what I said... yes there was beliefs mainly Judaism... but it was not referred to as Christianity before the existence of Jesus Christ....

It may have not been called “Christianity”, but it was the believe in a Christ that would save humanity and destroy evil and death. “Israel” and “Jews” didn’t come along until Jacob. So the belief in a Christ predates “Judaism”.

Do they have a temple/House of the Lord they do animal sacrifices at?

Do they still stone people to death?

Have they had any more prophets in the last two thousand years?

Why not? Because they aren’t practicing the same religion that existed over two thousand years ago.

And you believe that was because of Jesus? How did Jesus affect that?

Catholicism cannot even understand this simple bible milk= Matthew 23:9--Do not call any man on Earth Father( in a spiritual teacher sense) for one is your Father, the heavenly one.----Yet the Pope elevates himself into Gods position by being called holy Father= pure darkness.--So NO Catholicism does not belong to Jesus, they outright refuse to listen to him.

And you believe that was because of Jesus? How did Jesus affect that?
Because they rejected Jesus, and needed to discredit Jesus to justify their heresy.

They were mostly silent on Jesus. What do you think they did that discredited Jesus?
Odd phrase, “mostly silent”. So not entirely silent.

You’d think they’d debate Jesus a lot since it’s so obvious he fits the criteria for the messiah. When you press Jews what the messiah will be like if it’s not Jesus, they get real weird. They can’t actually cite any scripture from the Tanakh to back up their claims.

The Catholic church is still in the process of throwing out 'Genesis' and accepting Darwinian evolution. If that can be accepted as the faith of Christ then all other Christian churches that promote literal belief in the bibles are in big trouble.

Following the bible's teaching will be too inconvenient for their flocks when they know they can believe whatever they like with the Catholics.

The catholic church's popularity with atheists has already soared because that church has given atheism a free ride on what we believe.

You are proving my point that they were mostly silent on Jesus. The only reference I am aware of is from the Babylonian Talmud which stated Jesus (Yeshu) was put to death for sorcery and leading Israel to apostasy.

Nothing like what you are claiming. Which is they changed their religion because of Jesus or something to that effect.

I asked you questions earlier that you didn’t answer.

Why don’t the Jews follow the same law in the Torah as they did 2000+ years ago?

Why no animal sadrifces today?

Why no stoning?

Why no new prophets?

The answer is they totally changed their religion in the 3rd and 4th centuries. They resemble nothing of ancient Jews.

The Temple must first be rebuilt before any animal sacrifice can take place.

Jewish courts did not sentence many to death. In fact, in a seventy-year period, if even two people were sentenced to death, it was considered a bloody court.

Where Christianity may have had at least an indirect influence on Judaism is with prophets. Christians see John the Baptist as the final prophet, but Jews say it was Malachi. The Jews also seemed to drop the concept of what Christians eventually began calling Original Sin.

Keep in mind there have been changes in the Jewish faith all along. Before Exodus, the husband/father led the family in prayer and worship. During the Exodus, only males of the tribe of Levi could lead any/all the tribes in priestly prayer and worship. Next came the advent of Judges to manage the more secular aspects of the nation, but then people began calling for a King.

Where Jewish worship/belief has remained staunch is in keeping the Commandments and belief in One God alone. They keep their traditions as scripture commands.
