Most people misunderstand that. But to be really honest it was the Jews who chose to follow his law, not the other way around ......... well, not initially. So, you can almost say it was the Jews who chose themselves but if we start saying it that way the misunderstanding will get even worse than it is.

Jews are a lot more flexible in who gets to Heaven. It’s not “my way or the highway (to hell)” as Jews acknowledge that good gentiles also go to Heaven.

As a Christian, I know the Scriptures teach the reward of the saved is NOT heaven.

And it doesn't matter if you're more "flexible" in your belief. In the end it ONLY matters what the Word of God says.

1) First, I am right with Gd. I know you disagree, but please realize that is only YOUR opinion. My opinion and that of other Jews is that you are worshipping a mortal man. Yet you don’t hear Jews going around telling Christians that…..it would be rude, arrogant, and disrepectful.

2) Jesus was no more the Word of Gd than any traditional Jewish prophet or teacher, in the opinion of Jews. From my readings, he seemed like a good fellow and it’s horrible how the Romans killed him, but Rome found him a threat to their rule. It’s similar how the Democrats tried to kill, either figuratively or literally, Trump - he too was a threat to their rule.

3) I am very comfortable in my religion, as are the practicing Jews with whom I associate. We all have been hassled by Christians and wish they would stop. I know your religion teaches you to “spread the word,” but really…..once is enough. The constant hounding by Christians accomplishes little except drive people away.

Well, Jews have direct lineage to Abraham while the "goy" do not. I view Christianity as a sect of Judaism which allowed ease of conversion which makes it appealing to the masses. Jesus spread his religion to other Jews and Romans who through time and devotion allowed Christianity to become a global religion.

To my mind, Jesus was a well studied rabbi in his time who tried to in many ways reinvent and rewrite the Torah based on his own interpretation. Ironically, he did spread the word of Abrahamic religion better than any before him and he accentuated the peaceful and loving nature of the Torah. Some rabbis have even suggested he was extremely important for Judaism as a religion even as he betrayed many of it's tenets. Of course, they do not view him as anything but a mortal rabbi.

In time, one comes to the conclusion if they follow the string far enough that we should keep the laws of G-d and operate under his will, not false idolatry.

How do you figure?

For me, one of Jesus' most powerful teachings is that the Kingdom of God is near and that it is eternal. Many of us have more concern over living through the troubles of the present life, that the pie in the sky of the future is of no help at all. It is amazing to discover that the Kingdom of God begins right here on earth, in our present life, and it will extend on into eternity. Heaven will be amazing, but an amazing future is sometimes cold comfort in the midst of the troubles of this life. Kingdom living in the here and now is what comforts.
