Otherwise families would not take care of their children, and tribes would not take care of each other.
When human ancestor primates came down from the trees, they had no fangs, claws, speed, armor, etc., to their survival depended entirely on the empathy to sacrifice yourself in the attempt to defense others from any attackers.
So social bonding had to be present from the very beginning of humankind once they had their feet on the ground.

absorbed into the HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE and came to be called
