Growing up on Long Island in the 70's, Smithaven Mall was a magical place.

Many of the stores there have long closed up shop. Chess King, Abraham & Strauss, Sears, not to mention countless small retailers are all gone now.

Other Long Island stalwarts such as Korvette's, Billy Blake, Mid-Island and others are barely remnants in one's memory...
