I thought Trump was Putin's puppet. Why would Trump bomb Syria?

From the Communist News Network:

"Only very few of the loudest opponents of the Iraq war advocated complete withdrawal. The U.S. military commanders recommended at least 15,000 troops remain. Obama once again ignored his generals, as he did with Afghanistan, and instead pressed ahead with a politically calculated decision."

"They wanted 10,000 troops to remain in Iraq -- not combat troops, but military advisers, special operations forces, to watch the counterterrorism effort," she said.

Shortly before Obama took office in January 2009, his predecessor, George W. Bush, finalized an important agreement after about a year of negotiations with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

Called the Status of Forces Agreement, it spelled out the withdrawal of all American troops by the end of 2011.

The Obama administration was initially open to leaving up to 10,000 troops in Iraq after the scheduled pullout at the end of 2011, a controversial pitch that would have required approval from Iraq’s divided government to change the 2008 agreement

It did not stay there. The New York Times detailed how the one-time goal of a 10,000-person force shrank before negotiations failed altogether.

The agreement failed over a demand that American troops be given immunity from prosecution by Iraqis, a very touchy political issue within the Iraqi Parliament.

Right, something we would have never heard about if Iraq wasn't a total failure.

The best part about being a Democrat is never having to say you were wrong.
Republicans seem to believe Bomber Trump was never wrong about anything and never will be even when he makes 180° degree flip-flops.

It's one thing if a professional politician flip-flops and quite another when a newcomer does the same. A citizen is not exposed in the inner workings of policy, war and the economy like an insider is. Now that Trump is an insider, he's learning more why his past opinions were not the correct ones. Isn't that a good thing? Or is it better that he tries to show people he's not a flip-flopper and continue to do the wrong things for political expediency?

Well that's exactly what DumBama did in Iraq. All his experts told him not to do it, but he did it anyway to try and preserves a second term. Politics first, country and innocent people second.

In the recent past Donald Trump said the opposite of what he says now. He was clearly uninformed about the world and foreign policy. He spoke like a loudmouth braggart full of ignorant opinions and self promotion while he called Republican candidates names and insulted world leaders. Everyone could see what type of man he is, an egotist that who believes he can run the United States Executive branch of government in the same dubious way he ran his dodgy businesses. Trump is a clown who can play with the greatest military in the world pledged to follow his latest whim. What a mess!

A mess? Many of us think he's doing a better job than expected. I'm pretty happy with him so far. The border patrol endorsed him and they have no regrets. In fact they've had record low numbers of busting people trying to get into the country. Businesses seem pretty happy with his ideas and actions. North Korea and Iran are giving us the double look. The US no longer has a pansy leading the country, so they have to watch what they can get away with.

You are easily pleased; belligerent tweets that criticize longtime allies of the USA and dropping bombs as if he can use the United States military as his personal plaything void of any policy or oversight by the people's representatives in Congress, contradictions all over the place, and bombastic boastfulness. No-one knows what he will order his military to do next, nor least the American people. Being the most powerful man in the world with no check on his power internationally is an awful danger. He is so vain to claim that NATO is obsolete but after a few weeks as president he now says it is not. He must have fixed it all by himself. What a joke. The pathological liar has only just begun.

They all bitched like little bitches that Trump would not bend on anything. Now that he is showing himself to be nuanced when necessary, they're bitching about that.

I never heard of unpredictability and chaotic thinking being defined as "nuanced" before.

Trump bad mouthed China, and then he met with the President and they seem to be working things out. Not only that, but they may aid us in keeping that kook in North Korea in place at the same time.

I like his style so far. He doesn't just talk the talk, he walks the walk. He was bashing NATO until he met with Jens Stoltenberg. What was discussed exactly nobody knows. But whatever it was, it changed Trump's view of NATO and that could be a good thing. I don't think Trump would do such a flip-flop if it didn't benefit our country and he didn't get at least some of what he wanted.

What about his so-called buddy Putin? He had kind words to say about him while running, but now that Russia has involved themselves in our dispute with Syria, Trump is not saying too many nice things about Putin.

So does Trump flip-flop? Certainly he does, but only because the people in question change their views about dealing with the United States.

No-one knows what he will order his military to do next

And you know something? That is a good thing.

He's not trying to take over Europe, he had a limited bombing in Syria to show them (and the world) he is only going to let so many things go, and then there will be hell to pay. The problem the last eight years is our enemies knew exactly what our military response would be to their actions---nothing.

That's easy. Because he's not Putins bitch.

Putin supports Assad and if he had control of Trump our forces never would have bombed Assad's airbase killing a general.

Trump didn't like the dead civilians so he cleared the attack.

Easy, peasy.

Trump's Attack was barely a pin prick... The Airport was up and running within 12 hours, Delta Airlines have struggled to make that in time.

This was a distraction, simple as... There is no follow plan, strategy....

Only a fool would be distracted, Now back to Russian Influence in the election.

Tell that to little Kim, he is hiding somewhere in his bunker right about now playing some Disney movie...
