I thought eggs were supposed to be cheaper.

Don't expect drilling to solve problems in a year.
It takes 5 years for the new wells to be effective.

The land rented, a "platform" and road has to be built for drilling rigs and later collection or pipeline.
Then the well has to be drilled...maybe it works and maybe it does not.
Then the well needs to be spudded....(valve and pipeline to separator and collection or pipeline)

Then refined....which the refineries are backlogged. We don't have enough. Most are offshore as new land based refineries are impossible with current EPA regulations.
.

Luckily ... They just capped a lot of wells here when President Biden reversed the LNG deals shortly after gaining office.

It's not going to take 5 years to feel some of the results from the election ...
Last month's 'mailbox money' in royalties was 10 times higher than November's check.
May take a bit for that production to influence the market just the same.

They were simply moving enough production to cover the cost of maintenance on the wells during the Biden Administration.
They are dropping more wells and back to building a pipeline since the beginning of the year though.
There are leases and approved sites that have been sitting dormant since the end of President Trump's first term.

But ... The drilling and pipeline crews are buying all the breakfast biscuits at the local convenience stores now ...
That kind of sucks ... If you don't make it there before they do ...

Trump promised that groceries would get cheaper starting on day 1 of his presidency. Especially eggs. What happened? Was he just making shit up again?
Biden was going to cure cancer

Trump doesn't give a shit.

Like you whining when Biden was president.....

Bidens mismanagement of the avian flu is the cause for it.

Another reason to be MAGA.

As far as eggs are concerned, bird flu happened. As to the rest of the grocery bill, the petulant man-child was saying whatever he had to to get elected...

When you lose 40 million egg laying hens in one year, there is going to be an issue. An issue no false campaign promise can fix...

Two examples where Trump told the truth...

The dooshbag said "I don't care about you, I just want your vote. I don't care."

Trump said it's "too hard" to lower prices.

Trump isn't a man of his word OP.

That's all.

Trump ordered the U.S. government to lower prices for Americans. Can he deliver?

President Trump, who while campaigning vowed to end the "inflation nightmare," on Monday signaled his focus on the high cost of living in the U.S. by signing an executive order that requires "all executive departments and agencies to deliver emergency price relief" to Americans.

Mr. Trump's Jan. 20 order blames several factors for the pandemic-era inflation surge that has left many households feeling financially pinched, including high federal spending under the Biden administration and costs from new regulations.

"It is critical to restore purchasing power to the American family and improve our quality of life," the executive order states.

To accomplish that, Mr. Trump is ordering the departments and agencies that fall under the executive branch, including the departments of Commerce, Health and Human Services, Labor, and Energy, to take actions that lower prices for everything from housing and health costs to food and fuel.

There's a lot riding on Mr. Trump's mandate given that U.S. voters last fall consistently ranked the economy and inflation as among their top issues. But whether Mr. Trump's order will meaningfully move the needle on inflation is uncertain, some economists say.

"Trump's cost of living order fails to address the root causes of inflation, namely corporate profiteering and broken supply chains," said Lindsay Owens, executive director of the Groundwork Collaborative, a progressive economic think tank. "This order is a talking point, not a plan."

Recent economic research from the likes of Ben Bernanke, the former Federal Reserve chairman, has found that spiking prices in 2021 and 2022 stemmed from factors such as supply-chain disruptions and increased commodity prices — forces that any president, including Mr. Trump, would struggle to control.

The Trump administration didn't immediately return a request for comment.

If something is too expensive don't buy it. Don't buy it then complain about the price.

And, bingo.

Because that was supposed to happen in four days, right?

Nonetheless, there is a shortage of eggs right now due to the Avian flu and yes, Trump's policies are unlikely to result in prices dropping, particularly if he follows through with his tariffs. At least attempt to make an intelligent argument.

I wouldn't take your stupid advice.

I recall Bidet promising to cure cancer.
Believing politicians is for the truly retarded.

You really have to love the crazy indoctrinated cultists.
I want to whine because a person that is in the other cult said something they have not done because they wanted to get elected. But I will stay silent and even defend my cult when they do the same.
Biden had four years in which prices rose dramatically, we had chickens dying of bird flu. But did his cult care no, some even defended him. Trumps cult wanted to believe that he could fix things with a wave of a pen because he said he would. Now his cult is defending him and Biden’s cult are going full tilt crazy because he did not fix things with a wave of a pen.
It appears more like little school children then adults

It's because of bird flu. First human just died from it. Of course trump has stopped all cdc reports and communications. Enjoy!

Just a few weeks ago they were saying gas prices were dropping and should continue to do so, but they are going up.

tRump said they would go way down.

What happened?

Was he just making shit up again?
You know, there are other ways of getting eggs than going to a chain grocery store and buying them like that, correct?
:dunno:

A small price to pay.

Trump promised that groceries would get cheaper starting on day 1 of his presidency. Especially eggs. What happened? Was he just making shit up again?
In case you haven't noticed he's been a bit busy.

Like you whining when Biden was president.....
No, we were complaining that Biden WASNT the president. He was a brain dead pedo who simply did the bidding of his handlers.

Trump promised that groceries would get cheaper starting on day 1 of his presidency. Especially eggs. What happened? Was he just making shit up again?
Where was all this pressure to get shit done when Biden was president? Why werent you pushing Biden last month to do this, or 6 months ago, or 2 years ago? :cuckoo:

A small price to pay.

JohnDB also mentioned refining capabilities.

The closest local refinery is currently running at about 65% production capabilities ...
And they have been making upgrades and expansions in anticipation of pipeline completion.

President Trump made deals with Europe concerning LNG production towards the end of his first term.
President Biden nixed those deals shortly after the beginning of his Administration.

The refineries here took the slow time when the deals fell through to prepare for ramping up ...
Now that it looks like we are back in business.

Day one would be the first day. He set the time restriction, I didn't.

.

Holy crap ... If you are having trouble dealing with $1.09 for a dozen eggs ... Because they were $0.93 last January ...
Then I cannot even empathize with your pathetic conundrum ...

.
So, why did trump rant so often about the price of eggs? Was he just making shit up again?

He also ranted about the price of gas, which is down 5¢ since his inauguration at the station where I fill up.

And I thought the Inflation Reduction Act was supposed to keep eggs, milk, beef and other consumer goods from skyrocketing 30-40 percent in the first place?

You people fucked us with exacerbated inflation in the first place.
It was intended to reduce expected inflation. It succeeded. Promises made. promises kept.
