Trump's sons have business interests in drone companies. They do NOT own those drone companies. The contracts were competitively bid and awarded. Not illegal.

No one wants to destroy Iran's powerplants. Not that it would be a "war crime" but because it would hurt Iran's desalinization plants.

I listed it just as a "threat" Trump uses to pressure Iran to surrender.
I think that's what he meant with his "end their civilization" threat.

Trump doesn't want to send in US troops when the blockade will work.
When "push comes to shove" and Trump needs to convince Iran its time to surrender and open Hormuz, destroying some transformer switch-yards would put the lights out but be easier to repair than destroying the powerplants.
