I think so. IMO, had we sent troops in after pounding them with bombs, we might have taken out the IRGC while they were still reeling and off balance. Of course, you must be prepared to see thousands of our troops get killed too, but then, war is war, and it is a very messy business not to entered into lightly.

That said, if Trump can settle this thing and work it out with just a blockade, I'll be happy not to see any more Americans die.
