HereWeGoAgain how do we know which locals to trust/etc? that's what Mike Spann started to do there--the first to die ...he was gathering intel
A Marine Corp Battalion commander, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, spoke his mind about their fecklessness and was IMMEDIATELY relieved of his command. He knew he would be but he said something that I've always believed as well, and GOD BLESS him for it!
"WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN CAN ONLY BE DEFINED BY WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO RISK" Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller

The human intel ops leading up to the Gulf War were pretty extensive; most people have no idea what goes into operations planning and tracking specific units and individuals around in real time even in a limited geographical area, even a well known local like Saddam was.Mad_Jack_Flint unfortunately you need some boots on the ground for intel ....intel is super important --or you won't get a target
True; it's the nature of the beast.DudleySmith and many times the intel is off--and/or entirely wrong = Camp Chapman attack--there you had a double spy -MAJOR fk up by the CIA

Yeah, a drone strike on Al Gore would be more satisfying.what do you mean by "unsatisfying"?
you want gore? you want blood?
Nothing quite beats the bayonet........but that's just me.While I support the drone strike today that killed the ISIS-k "planner" and I really don't like endangering our military people, I find killing our enemies with a drone strike emotionally unsatisfying.
Have you ever killed anyone with a bayonet?Nothing quite beats the bayonet........but that's just me.

I have a similar opinion of that woke element that is STUFFING UP the US Military....but they will NOT succeed!!!I despise Biden's Woke Military with all my heart and soul!
I have not enough words to express scorn and contempt towards them!
Of course not, but we did use them sticking wild pigs out on the cultivations when I was MUCH younger. Much more "intimate" killing; using pig dogs and such was a lot of fun in a sense in that we were saving crops from a lot of damage.Have you ever killed anyone with a bayonet?
Those wild pigs can do lots and lots of damage.Of course not, but we did use them sticking wild pigs out on the cultivations when I was MUCH younger. Much more "intimate" killing; using pig dogs and such was a lot of fun in a sense in that we were saving crops from a lot of damage.
Of course rifles were far more efficient.

Not to me, a dead terrorist is a good thing no matter how the ****** gets it. In some cases, it may be the only way to get the SOB without endangering our guys.

I wonder if the nuclear annihilation of two Japanese cities seems "emotionally unsatisfying" in retrospect? The only emotional response I can come up with is why the fat asses in the Pentagon are so reluctant to use drones.ct
What makes you think they are advocates of drone strikes? What makes you think they are reluctant to use drones?
