But they are so absurd as to be hysterically funny --- the actor pretends to trip over something and out of shot falls on the ground .
But the camera makes zero effort to follow or home - in on the action.
Whereas it managed to follow the stunt actor from the beginning of his run .

What I do not get is this:

1. The shooter guy came running through the metal detector strait at an agent: how did that agent fail to hit his target?
2. The agent fired at Allen several times but seemingly missed, yet I do not see anyone behind him nor the wall hit with any of the bullets fired that missed Allen.
3. There had to be at least 10-15 agents at the entrance Allen ran through; you mean not one of those guys thought to just tackle the dude? Grab him? Trip him? All 15 agents actually backed away from the guy letting him past.

Looked pretty sloppy to me. No one really paying attention. With 15 guys there, you would think someone would have stopped him before he even got to the metal detector and asked him who he was and where he was going. Better still, there should have been some barriers up making people traverse them (zip-zag, etc.) so that no one could just run through the checkpoint so fast before all 15 agents there could wake up and respond.

I mean, this is BASIC security stuff, much less what I would expect with 2/3rds of the whole executive cabinet of the USA in the same room.

One bomb, one lucky shot, and Sen. Chuck Grassley would be POTUS today.

The point of the video was to release all available camera shots that caught the perp in them showing how he walked around before hand casing the joint planning his attack.

But the camera makes zero effort to follow or home - in on the action.

Because it was a fixed camera mounted on the wall to cover a hallway or something, there was no remote camera operator, and no X-Y motorized fluid pan/tilt heads.

Next time you go in a hotel and the cameras follow you down the hall keeping you in the shot, do please let me know.

I do not disagree. As I understand it, this checkpoint was on a different floor. The ballroom is in the basement. Significant additional security between Cole’s breach and POTUS.

People in the ballroom heard the scuffle. Some thought that someone had dropped some dinner plates.

IMO, the dude never even should have made to passed the first checkpoint. There was around 15 people there who were supposed to be looking for invaders. 15 armed dudes could not stop one lone school teacher from California?

Had there been a simple S-shaped barrier you had to make turns through after the detectors that you could not just jump over, the guy never would have made it to the 2nd level of security.

I saw more security in department stores during Covid.

I give security there a C+ at best only because of their actually stopping the guy. Pretty sloppy by KGB standards.

IMO, Trump is a fool not to wear a vest, carry a gun, and someone ought to have him exercising, running and working out. Get that guy in shape, then start hiring lookalike decoys too. Get him some time at the shooting range.
