Just ignore Trump's pets; they are always loyal to him because he feeds them. lol.I'm hoping rather than just rating my post "fake news" they can explain why it's fake news. I'm hoping someone can justify to me why we need to pay higher prices?

Trump used the phrase to discredit media outlets and reports that he deemed unfavorable or critical of his administration. By labeling certain news as "fake," he aimed to undermine public trust in the mainstream media, positioning himself and his supporters as the true arbiters of information.
This strategy served multiple purposes: it created a rallying cry for his base, fostered a sense of solidarity against perceived bias, and shifted the narrative away from serious criticisms or controversies.
The term also played into broader debates about misinformation and the credibility of news sources, particularly in an era of rising social media influence where the line between factual reporting and opinion became increasingly blurred.
In sum, the use of "fake news" by Trump and his supporters reflects a tactical approach to shape public perception, delegitimize opposing viewpoints, and consolidate power by controlling the narrative surrounding their actions and policies. This branding of news as "fake" has had lasting implications for media discourse and public trust in journalism.
