Nice rant... now take them one by one and PROVE them...The last time the Republicans were in charge of both houses of Congress and the White House, the national debt doubled, prisoners were being tortured, tens of millions of American citizens were being spied on, American citizens were locked up without a writ of habaes corpus, a massive new police state Cabinet department was created, a trillion dollar health entitlement program (Medicare Part D) was created, three wars were started (Iraq, Afghanistan, Terror), and the economy was run off a cliff.
You can see why I have put the GOP's resume in the circular file. I simply do not want to hire them again.
The Democrats promised to change all that. I did not believe them, so I did not hire them. And I was right. They failed. So I don't want them hired again, either.
Looks like another election that will pass without my vote being cast, except on the local level.
Easy peasey!
Doubling the debt:
National Debt when GOP took over Congress: $4.98 trillion
National Debt when Bush left office: $10.7 trillion
Torture of prisoners: Cheney Defends U.S. Use Of Waterboarding
Just try today to get a faux conservative to admit waterboarding is torture. They still won't do it, even as they ranting about whatever Obama is doing in the War on Terror. Just ask them in mid-rant over Obama if waterboarding is torture and watch their brains explode from cognitive dissonance.
Speaking of spying on Americans...
2006: Spying on Ordinary Americans
The White House has offered steadily weaker arguments to defend the decision to eavesdrop on Americans' telephone calls and e-mail without getting warrants.
According to the article, the eavesdropping swept up vast quantities of Americans' private communications without any reasonable belief that they could be related to terrorism.
NSA has massive database of Americans' phone calls
The National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone call records of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth, people with direct knowledge of the arrangement told USA TODAY.
This was in all the news at the time, dipshit.
Locking up American citizens without habeas corpus: Hamdi v Rumsfeld
Police state Cabinet level department: Perhaps you have heard of the DHS? Yeah. That was not created on January 20, 2009 dipshit.
Three wars. Do I really need to show evidence of those?
Trillion dollar medical entitlement program? Here's Forbes: Republican Deficit Hypocrisy
Just to be clear, the Medicare drug benefit was a pure giveaway with a gross cost greater than either the House or Senate health reform bills how being considered. Together the new bills would cost roughly $900 billion over the next 10 years, while Medicare Part D will cost $1 trillion.
That was written in 2009. You know what "health reform bills" they were referring to? Yeah. And Medicare Part D cost MORE than that.
Another thing. ObamaCare has provisions which attempt to make it pay for itself. Not so with Medicare D! That's the GOP for you.
So there you go, dipshit. I proved my claims. So shove this up your ass:
