Zone1 How to be educated and not indoctrinated

The worst thing Obama did was to have the federal government take over student loans... it quadrupled tuition fees and since our public schools failed to educate the kids... Universities created worthless majors so the stupid kids could get in and go into debt so deep it takes decades to repay their loans as they flip burgers for a living... who wins?... the universities.... and democrat politicians who get donations from them...
I think you left out the word "private" in front of universities. Public universities don't donate to political candidates.

Why conservatives hate higher learning is fairly easy to understand:

1. It is the first time when people get to live outside of the control of their authoritarian conservative parents. That sort of personal freedom highlights how oppressive and hypocritical their home life was and they put two and two together to abandon conservatism.
2. Colleges have a more diverse population that most of America has, which results in people with bigotries groomed into them by their parents or pastors to be directly exposed and defeated.
3. Higher learning isn't root memorization and instead teaches you how to think critically and rationally. It teaches introspection and to question oneself and to apply empiricism on life itself in addition to whatever degree you are getting. All of which is anathema to conservatism.
4. College is about expanding human knowledge on a wide field of data and information, to which, conservatism has nothing to offer on. The reason why you don't see conservative professors is the reason why we don't see scientists arguing against germ theory. Unless you can advance human knowledge you don't have any purpose in college as conservatism as an ideology rebukes new ideas out of habit.

... instead teaches you how to think critically and rationally...
No, it expects you to use that kind of thinking. You should bring that with you to higher education.

.... It teaches introspection and to question oneself and to apply empiricism on life itself ...

Don't just toss around words you don't really understand. It does not have the effect you're hoping it will.

Thanks again for admitting that I was right. I appreciate the help.

Holy crap, what a mess. Was that supposed to be a sentence? You need to work on your English before you worry about college.

You should have acquired that before you got to college. If you hadn't, you weren't ready to be there.
Which means you didn't go to college or know how this works. Good job!
