US education—How do you define manure?

Students Are More Than Statistics

Try to follow the natural desire of children to form teams and compete. The team with the highest score on quizzes gets Friday off; the team with the lowest has to come to school on Saturday.
How many times do you want to repeat this stupid idea?

No, he did NOT. He is simply stating that students have some responsibility in their learning. There should be effort on behalf of students. So what is your answer for those kids who refuse to commit to learning the material? I suspect you believe all kids just yearn for knowledge. So, show us how it's done. Let me get my popcorn and watch the expert.
Just because he denies it does not mean its not so

"College-educated" is a fictitious term that connotes people who were not educated before they attended college, but somehow gained intelligence by the experience.
Nurses, doctors, engineers, architects, lawyers….

Do you really think you know as much about their unique specialties as they do?

When you go in and teach and show us how the kids swoon over you I will then just barely begin to consider.
They wont swoon

Many are every bit as wild as the teacher’s union says they are

And so are the parents

When public teachers like the admiral are bring honest its not surprising to hear that they dont give s damn

This seems like pure trolling. Where do you get he doesn't care? He spent a lot of time trying to help students. Did you?

The public teachers are dripping with indifference

“and I taught it for 21 years. Whether they remembered it or not is on them, not me.”

I have an observation to make about many college-educated people in the US.

My city is limping and I think I know why. At some point around 1957 the Russians launched a beachball sized contraption with antennae they called Sputnik. It went into orbit and made a beep. The beep could be detected by radio, and the little sphere could be seen on radar. It could be viewed by a naked eye if the viewer was young enough. This event sent the hierarchy of the US into apoplexy! Stark warnings appeared: “The Russians are dropping us like a bad habit in math and science!” “We need to catch up by sending everyone to college!”

Math and engineering institutions did not change much, but liberal arts colleges like the one in my city began popping up on every street corner. They became as common as the phone booths of the 50’s and 60’s. Academics came out of the woodwork like cockroaches from under a kitchen sink. They began offering all kinds of idiosyncratic educational content after most curriculums were dumbed down to accommodate student bodies that were never college material in the original sense. Four extra years of high school became the norm at most liberal arts campuses, and a cottage industry of schizophrenic re-education gripped the country like the brain damage that comes with lead exposure.

Why would this happen? Well, do you think the purpose of education in America shifted from producing useful, trained citizens to maintaining guaranteed employment for educators if there were enough suckers to line up for the plan? The bizarre rabbit holes US education has gone down offer a sobering indictment of a system that has gone off the rails! Political conspiratorial propagandizing quickly took over in education, and things like Diversity, equity and Inclusion stood in for standard training. Lunacy like toxic masculinity and women’s studies, divided minds and pitted the sexes against one another. The young are as lonely and rudderless as ever. This has done real damage.

American education has broadsided America in a way the Russians never dreamed of. When a farmer buys manure from a manure salesman, he knows what he is getting. But when US liberal arts colleges repackage manure and sell it to students as food, we are in trouble as a nation.

Maybe it’s time to make some real changes before it is too late.
For whatever it is worth, creating degrees for farmers' kids to "learn" farming was where the dumbing down of academia began.

Yes frankly, he can't remember for them. This is hilarious.

Liberal Arts Degree? A Liberal Arts Degree and 5 Bucks might get you a COFFEE at Starbucks. But not a JOB there.

Tuition Means Buying a Job

They should only be respected if they had qualified for paid professional training. In this indentured-servitude system, graduates are amateurs.

What does that even mean?

Becoming a medical doctor should only be on the job training?
