How much have U.S. farmers been affected by illegal immigrants being deported?

.

NPR seems to think only four crops need to be harvested by hand.

Living just a stone's throw from a field that alternates between soybeans and field corn, I looked at how cleanly that cornfield was harvested all by machine. I see these on the 2-lanes near my home all the time.

Almond harvesting is fascinating too.

This bad boy harvests tomatoes like a champ.

Wheat

Soybeans

I could do this all day.

That’s not true.
.

At the very least, there are armies of do-gooder leftists who can come and glean those fields and cook and serve meals to the homeless with all that free food, right?

Why does anyone need to actually pick crops? Don't they use machines to do that? Or hire american workers for alot higher wages than visa workers.
Decades ago we had people, from other countries come here for work in the fields legally. In my area the farmers had little homes built and the migrants worked the fields and lived in these homes. It was all above board and worked well, now they work and stay. This leads to problems of being here illegally. I have absolutely no issue with our immigration laws allowing people to come in and work and apply to stay, but we need to hold them to the law.

I did not personally come up with the number, AI did. How can I answer it?
You go back and ask its sources, that what I do. I have found that if you make AI work it comes up with better info, I also challenge AI on its information to. AI is just a tool that needs to be mastered.

I am asking the person that posted the AI source, so if you didn’t do your due diligence, that’s on you. So I am going to assume you are just making more shit up and manipulating AI.
I would not be "making shit up", AI would be doing it. I happen to believe in AI (as most of the modern world believes in it) and as such, I consider that finding the AI information means I DID THE RESEARCH.

If YOU do not believe in AI, then prove why!

I never said I don’t believe in AI, but just like with everything I ask its sources.

Here are the main types of sources AI uses:
1. Data for Training and Learning:
  • Publicly available data: This includes information scraped from the internet (websites, blogs, forums, news articles), public datasets from governments or research institutions, and digital libraries. For example, LLMs are trained on enormous datasets from various text-based sources like books, articles, websites, and code repositories.
  • Proprietary data: This refers to internal data collected by companies from their own operations and user interactions, such as customer purchase history or call logs. This can be particularly useful for domain-specific AI applications, like Spotify's AI DJ that uses listening history.
  • Crowdsourced data: This involves gathering data from a large group of people, often through online platforms.
  • Synthetic data: Data created artificially by algorithms, especially when real-world data is limited or sensitive. For example, one AI model might generate fictional customer interactions to train another AI model.
  • User-Generated Content (UGC): Data from social media sites, forums, and blogs provides insights into informal language and diverse perspectives.
2. Data for AI Systems in Operation:
  • Predefined databases and knowledge bases: AI can access and utilize structured information stored in databases and knowledge graphs, like Google's Knowledge Graph.
  • User input: Direct user input and prompts are a key source of information, particularly for generative AI like chatbots.
  • APIs (Application Programming Interfaces): AI systems can access and use data from other applications and services through APIs.
  • Sensor data: Information gathered from sensors, such as cameras, microphones, and other devices, is essential for AI in various applications like autonomous vehicles.
  • Historical and real-time data streams: AI can use both past data and data streams as they occur to inform decisions and predictions.

Ohhh nooo, I posted it but any mistakes were AI's fault. Damn typical liberal. You did the research? Keep dreaming, you did nothing but copy and paste.

Stop giving any benefit of any kind to an illegal. Nada. No cash, no nothing. You volunteer to pay for it if you want. One of the things about this Republic you spiel every time your Constitutional ramblings are spewed is about taxation. The reason for the Revolutionary War. We will not go to that period of time again. Yet you have no concern how high taxes go. We are in a difficult situation.
The OP is about how Americans will have to pay higher prices. Other than rich people, Americans worry about the price of things because that makes their lives easier or harder. It is about them that generated the OP. What is their "personal" opinion on the topic.
