How much do extremely wealthy people owe to the society that gave them the chance to prosper so much?

I think you vastly overvalue "undivided attention" in the learning process. It's not uncommon for sheltered, spoiled children to be unable to comprehend functioning without being the center of everything.

You seem to like anecdotes a lot.

If you knew diddly squat about education from practical experience, you would know that parables and anecdotes are a time-honored and effective method of illustrating a point.

Jealousy is a powerful emotion. I wish more people could have a more optimal education.
Education is no cure for jealousy.
There are some very bright people that just don't have that option.
Bright people can self educate. The internet has made it quite easy and nearly universally accessible in the US.

We do. You'll stop wondering when YOU understand them from the perspective of experience, rather than the perspective of "I've sat in my room and thought a whole bunch about this." It's very easy to say, "Evil is just subjective, it doesn't really exist" as a theoretical abstract; it's impossible once you encounter it.

I don't think evil doesn't exist just because it's subjective.

if it exist it cant be subjective,,,

very bright people can educate themselves if they choose not to it is no one's fault but their own

Very bright people will still get a better education if they have very bright people to guide them.
"Very bright" is an opinion. Depending on the environment, the situation and timing, "very bright" people could be considered dumb and people that you may consider dumb, could be "very bright".

You aren't dealing in facts, you are dealing with opinions and perception, which are very fluid.

You seem to not understand that your own perspective still has limits despite your life experience. I imagine you'd never have the humility to think there might be something you could learn from me. That's your loss.

On the other hand, people who aren't as pampered and privileged as you have been learned a great deal that you aren't even aware exists. It's not an accident that so many really successful people in this country did not come from easy, privileged childhoods.

Your constant condescension and self-congratulating attitude make me wonder if you have a personality disorder.

Right back atcha, Junior. Difference remains that I actually have something real to congratulate myself about.

I'm not even in the same universe as you when it comes to arrogance and hostility.

Reality is subjective. This seems like a pointless observation in this context,

No, I understand that. YOU seem not to understand that your perspective is nothing BUT limits due to your utter lack of life experience. I'm quite certain you don't have the humility to think there might be nothing whatsoever that you have to teach anyone.

As brilliant and innovative as your parents and tutors have incorrectly encouraged you to believe you are, you actually have said nothing whatsoever that has not been said by every full-of-himself 18-year-old in modern history. Before assuring yourself that you could teach those "arrogant old farts" if they would just listen to your "fresh" perspective, you should make an effort to find out what a tired bunch of retreaded canards you're actually spouting.

This is why children used to be taught to respect their elders, and shut their mouths and open their ears in their presence.

Some might call that "privilege"

That's exactly what it is.

and resent your family for its success and wealth.

Yeah...

Very bright people figure out how to get what they need. Education included.

And are usually better off for the experience of having done so.

People also do better when they don't have to do everything themselves and/or the hard way. You make it sound like ideal situations have no impact on the end product. That's ridiculous. Saying "Smart people will figure it out." kind of misses the point entirely.

Well, I'm certain that's what it seems like from your perspective of never doing anything for yourself. I don't doubt that you've thought many long, deep thoughts on how much better you are than all those poor fools who didn't have rich parents to spoil them.

Reality shows us that pampered little princes and princesses tend to be useless creatures, while people who have to work for everything they have tend to both accomplish more and value it more. You'll recognize this once you grow up enough to have some actual skin the game with a job and a family, rather than simply daydreaming about theory.

In the meantime, here's another thing you should learn but won't because you think you know it all and invented most of it.

The wrong question.

The right question is how much does society owe to the billionaires that create needed goods and services and created thousands of jobs?

Like Bill Gates. From nothing he created the software empire that enabled the computer age and in the process employed many thousands of people.

We owe him a lot more than he owes us.
Gates is a thief whose mother worked in government which gave him the knowledge on how to capitalize off taxpayers to make himself a billionaire.
I have nothing against rich people who earn their money----but Gates is a scum bag.

And sometimes NOT having help causes a better outcome. Steve Jobs being an example.
