Sounds familiar. Friend of mine lived with his Parents till they died. He was 56. Inherited the $400,000 House. No Mortgage. So he got an equity-Line from his Bank. Spent about $200,000 trying to play the Big shot to a young woman. Also ,took a "Cold Call" about an opportunity. Invested another $200,000. Turned out to be phony. Result? Lost the Family Home.

We worry about what he's going to do after they die. The property has to be worth $1 million. If he tries to keep it, he won't be able to pay the bills and taxes. So he has to sell it. And I'm sure they bought the property for $150K years ago. So he will have to pay taxes on the other $850,000. It may not be as much as he thinks in the end.

But he could buy a $200,000 condo where I live. The capital gains on the $850 profit he made on his parents home would be rougly $200K. So that leaves him with a condo and $450,000 to live off the rest of his life. At 5% that's only $22,500 a year interest. Let's say he's 65 when this happens. It will be very hard to live on $22,500 a year. So he's going to probably have to tap into the principle.

And he's never worked so I don't know how he will qualify for medicare or social security. He's fucked right?

Oh, it was longer than that. As in 1926 the first of their joint projects the "Lipetsk Fighter-Pilot School" opened for German military pilots in Lipetsk, Soviet Union. That was the site of the Soviet air combat and aircraft testing centers, and German military pilots trained alongside their Soviet counterparts. And the same year they started the Tomka Gas Test Site, another joint project where together they researched poison gas and defense against it. And in 1928 they opened the Kama Tank School.

They say 35,000,000 Chinese were killed in WWII, but it's the total number and those were killed by the Japanese, Pol Pot is believed to have killed a mil or two of Cambodians, but not that big a number compared with the 135 mil, from two to four Vietnamese communists perished during their war but they didn't kill themselves, they were killed by Americans, then of course remains Stalin, the "perfect villain of the millennium" who must have killed the rest, but who fought the war and won at that? Americans and the brave French, while communists were busy killing each other by the millions? Arithmetic doesn't add up.

Both Stalin and Hitler were enemies of civilization. Neither was better or worse than the other.

Russia is even more corrupt now than under the Communists and Putin is a malignant sociopath who resents success in any of the old Republics or satellite countries.
