I call BULLSHIT. The only people who failed at life because of AA are people who expected that their Masters degree and their white skin was all they needed in life. Today, there are fewer and fewer middle class jobs, and there is much more competition to get them. People are stuck in low level jobs longer, and with the increased student debt of the last 15 years, these young people can't afford to buy new homes, or start their adult lives.

You've posted in the past that in an effort to provide a stable retirement for yourself, you haven't married or had children and you've saved relentlessly. No society can sustain itself if their residents can't afford to marry, have children and raise a family. Millenials are marrying, buying homes and having children, on average, 5 years later than Gen X and nearly 10 years later than baby boomers.

Today's working class families have one or two children because they can't afford to feed or clothe more than that, and in most cases, it takes two incomes to raise two kids. You keep pretending that public policy doesn't affect society in general but this is a clear case where it does. Large families are expensive. Republicans keep preaching "fiscal responsibility" but the poor are far more fiscally responsible than Republicans. They don't have as many children, and they have 80% of all abortions.

A party that supports racial discrimination against whites, is supported by millions of whites ? Whaaat ? "I don't believe it" is what millions of people in other countries say. Here in America, though, we know it to be true. It (Affirmative Action) was formally and openly stated in the 2004 and 2008 platforms of the Democratic party.

2004 >> "the party "support affirmative action to redress discrimination and to achieve the diversity from which all Americans benefit."

2008 >> ""We support affirmative action, including in federal contracting and higher education, to make sure that those locked out of the doors of opportunity will be able to walk through those doors in the future"

The words "Affirmative Action" are not mentioned in the National Democratic Party platforms of 2012 and 2016, however the description of it, with goals to achieve diversity are mentioned. Seems like Democrats are becoming rather defensive about the idea of racially discriminating in order to stop racially discriminating.

There's an obvious reason why Democrats have removed the words "affirmative action" from their national platforms. Overwhelmingly, the American people oppose the concept. Almost two-thirds of Americans disagree with the June 2016 Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action, that allows public colleges to use race as a factor in their admissions decisions.

According to a Gallup poll conducted over June 29 through July 2, 2016, 70 percent of Americans say merit should be the only factor in college admissions. That number has stayed relatively stable over the last 12 years.

In California, Democrats HAVE used the words Affirmative Action in their state platform >> "California Democrats will > Encourage, support and defend voluntary, and mandatory affirmative action measures aimed at enhancing equality in employment, education, and business opportunities;"

So with all this discrimination where non-whites are the beneficiaries, and whites are the victims, why do white Democrats support it ? Does Nancy Pelosi think it's OK for her many sons, daughters, and grandkids to be victims of this racist discrimination, when applying for college, for college financial aid, job hiring, job promotions, business loans, etc, ?

Simple. Most Caucasian leftists are guilt ridden over their own achievement and success which brings on self loathing.
They also have this undying need to not only save the world but also to save people from themselves.

If right wingers didn't lie about the left, they'd have nothing to say.

We have a self-admitted failure who votes for Trump because of his life has been ruined by AA, and those who pat him on the head and say "This is why we need a wall", and several self-admitted successful leftists who are proud of their achievements and what it took to get them there, and this idiot tells us we're "consumed with self-hatred and guilt".

The only people I want to save the world from are "conservatives" who complain that their freedom to discriminate against gays, get first priority on ALL jobs regardless of the skills and qualifications of the other people who apply, is being compromised. Who tell me what that should I get pregnant, I must accept the "consequences" of my actions since there is nothing morally acceptable to them but to force women to have babies they cannot afford and don't want, but who provide no income or supports to help them do so. Who tell women that their employer gets to decide whether or not their birth control is covered by the health insurance plan.

I mean how much more controlling of everything in our lives that truly matters can Democrats possibly be than that?
