How Much Do You Consume?

How do you measure your portion of a Federal road project or border protection or park service or....?
Knowing the OP, it's a trap question....No doubt we'll later be showered with instances where we have no choice in the matter and/or things that nobody asked for, as "evidence" of how badly we neeeeed the almighty benevolent State.

Or.....

Cali gives more to the Fed Govt than the Fed Govt gives back to them.
You think that California should make money from the federal government? Explain how this works. California gives a check to the federal government, then the federal government is supposed to give them an even larger check back? Say whaaat!?

He's referring to the stale and debunked old trope about how the "blue states" are getting ripped off, because they get back less in frderal tax revenue than they put in.

How much federal tax revenue monies do you think you consume in a calendar year?

In California that would be ZERO, the fricken politicians are spending it all on illegals.

actually, Cali gives more to the Fed Govt than the Fed Govt gives back to them.

Wasn't specifically referring to "Federal dollars", interesting part about accounting is numbers can magically appear and disappear. Overall, I give a hell of a lot more to "government" than I receive. Parts given include taxes, various fees and portions kicked back from utilities.

For all but 13 states that is exactly what happens. Only 13 states get back less than they give the Fed Govt...the rest get more.

Is Your State A Net Payer Or A Net Taker?

Well that is the case for every state. National defense isnt free, among a million other things our federal government does for us.

That is a simplistic way of looking at it. There are too many factors involved to just boil it down like that.

You will note that, with the exception of the upper midwest states, all the net losers have high population densities in comparison to the rest.

IOW, it takes more money per capita to build and maintain a mile of highway in Montana than it does in Connecticut...The peddlers of this silly rubric conveniently ignore this and other factors which contribute to this matter.

Interesting that many here think they can tell us exactly how much undocumented persons (illegal aliens) costs us per year (an average of $6,700) but when asked how much they consume…they can’t tell us an amount.
