Well let's face it, women's rights are still a work in progress to this day.
What do women want that they don't already have?
The feminist movement long ago achieved all that was fair for women, so now they are demanding things that are unfair.
To force employers to meet a legal standard where the government gets to decide that men and women should be paid the same for equivalent positions is opening the door to massive litigation and unlimited liabilities. Women should just compete for jobs with men and not demand that the government give them a billy club to beat employers on the head with. It could even backfire, since employers may be reluctant to hire women for fear of being sued if they don't give them the pay they demand.
