Systemic Review of Covid Lockdowns Reveals No Benefit, Many Drawbacks

Masks did zero and shots prevented about 6% of all infections that were critical condition from becoming worse including death

"Just remember; if you get the shot, the COVID germs can't stick to you and they fly off you and dive bomb the asphalt so nobody else can get sick."

Absolutely.
Couldn't get a haircut in a business with 2 other customers, but big box retail was safe for 200.
The whole panic was nonsense with conflicting "precautions".

Costco, height of busy hours, the store is filled with at least 500 people minimum. Local shops must shut down to prevent spread when most shops have no more than 10 people at any given time.

That's leftist logic for you.

I mean, no kidding. We knew this. But for the crowd who loves the peer-reviewed, feast your eyes below. The entire article is well worth a read.

(And the ridiculous extent of the lockdowns is like a comedy show. Grocery store arrows? Masks walking to the bathroom, but not at the table? Closing beaches and parks? Can anyone defend this now?)

Horrifying New Research into Damage from Covid Lockdowns

A massive new systematic review of over 130 studies of Covid policies was published recently in Health Affairs Scholar by writers from the Department of Health Policy, Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health in Indianapolis, synthesizing the research into ancillary outcomes from lockdowns, school closures, and other mandates. The goal of this systematic review was to find the “unintended health effects” resulting from those policies. Essentially, putting Covid aside, what were the results when it came to various important measures of health?

They write that while policymakers and public health authorities have produced years of reports and lectures on the importance of mandates and lockdowns in reducing viral transmission, there’s a large “gap in the literature” regarding what other impacts may have resulted from “shelter-in-place/stay-at-home orders, workplace closures, and school closures.”

While peer-review isn’t a guarantee of accuracy, all 132 studies included in the analysis were peer-reviewed. Those 132 studies resulted in finding over 450 unique outcomes. And spoiler alert, the overwhelming majority of those outcomes were negative.

What makes their results even more infuriating is that there was, as they explain, “very low quality” evidence that lockdowns would be effective, as well as a “lack of information on potential unintended downstream consequences.” Yet decision-makers plowed forward anyway, despite the “serious ethical, economic, health equity, and human rights concerns” resulting from such policies.
The problem here is there were no benefits because everyone flouted the rules. In China a lot of people didn't die, because of lockdowns. By the time they lifted the lockdowns forever, the virus didn't need a vaccine much any more.

Yes, actually, if you forcefully make people stay home at all times on penalty of jailing or worse, you can contain a virus. You might completely tank the economy and people's lives, of course, which is the point of the article.

So they didn't force-quarantine but instead made the most ridiculous laughable rules I've ever seen.

Consider yourself lucky. The unions just shut down most every school in the blue areas of California for an entire school year. My 19 yo daughter still has social anxiety and agoraphobic issues from that time.

One of her cousins basically stopped attending the online classes after a few months. They still promoted her to the next grade.

The teacher unions in California are run by just plain evil fuckers.

I taught through the "online school" debacle. I remember seeing the most vibrant, happy kids wilt like household flowers day after day, week after week. I'm not a crier. But man, I cried more in the year of Covid after teaching than I had all the other 32 years COMBINED. It left a terrible mark.

It doesn't take a genius to realize that our government, and most governments, are not there to fix problems. They are only good at creating problems. Covid arose in a bioweapons research lab because stupid governments think bioweapons, especially genetically manipulated human viruses, are a good idea.

It was even easier for ALL of you democrats to be wrong about locking us down. You were all so arrogant about it at the time too. You guys were wrong about literally every aspect of COVID and conservatives were RIGHT about literally EVERYTHING!!!
You're literally wrong about everything you post. You're also hysterical and probably need to see a qualified medical professional, preferably a psychiatrist. Good luck.

Well, that's a stretch. But we definitely stumbled badly in our response to COVID. And it's worth revisiting so we're more prepared for the next time something like that occurs, so we can learn from our mistakes. Will we?

Of course not! We'll obsess on partisan poo-flinging instead. Go team!

Pharma will tell you what you will think.

Pharma will tell you what you will think.
And if you don't they will get your doctor to prescribe you anti-psychotics until you fall in line and learn to love the pharmaceutical industry. Look at what happened to the old school democrats, they used to hate the parasitic pharma industry until the industry started pumping shit tons of money into the dumocrap party, now they love the pharmaceutical industry and can't get through the day without taking at least 10 different anti-psychotics.

It's easy to be a Monday morning QB.
It's even easier to simply speak the truth. Many people did, but they were punished, fired and otherwise shut down. Peter McCullough and so many others spoke the truth. That's why it was most accurately described as a Plandemic, Scamdemic and others. David E. Martin called it right from the start.

I did not like forced vaccinations, and I understood why people were angry. The whole mask thing was fine with me, and that is where most people lost their shit.

Shutting down businesses was a mistake as well, as my employer was considered 'essential" by the state of Illinois and every day was a regular workday. We wore masks in meetings and then took them off.

Most people understood the seriousness of a pandemic and that no response from the government would please everyone, and just went along, rather than get hysterical like so many did.

Masks against virus is like chain link fencing against mosquitos--they don't work. Public Health 101. Going from memory, I think it was in the 50s that the first tests showed them ineffective. If I knew that, why didn't Donald? Oh year, for the same reason he can't quite grasp that Hormuz is in Persian territorial waters, and has been for many thousands of years. Stupid is as stupid does.

Yes, I took a few public health courses in the US Army at Fort Sam Houston back in 1969, so I was better educated than Donald.

The early government public data showed the virus had a survival rate, IFR Infection Fatality Rate over 99%. That is, government data showed early that 99% of those infected, even with the many abuses of the PCR tests in data gathering, survived.

So the question for me was "Why in hell do I need to take an experimental mRNA injection to protect me from a bug with a 99% survival rate"

Scamdemic, Danny. All the way. David E. Martin and the many other dissenting voices were right as rain.

In a way it is somewhat like the novel 1984. Endless wars and "soma" for the masses.
