What there was? Was the CIA doing what the CIA always does. CIA stuff. They were trying to hide the fact that they were beating the shit out of militants in the consulate. But thanks to Issa? We know about it.

What there also was, was a Presidential Candidate, Mitt Romney, taking the unprecedented move of blaming the sitting President for a foreign attack on the US. That's never been done. It was disgusting and disgraceful. He should have been forced out of the race for that one. But? Instead? Republicans took the low road and made this into a "scandal".

Hopefully, because of that, we don't see another Republican President until they come to terms with what it means to be American.
