Someone was pecking on my side door and I saw it was an older woman.
I asked her what she wanted and she asked me if I could direct her to a nearby town (Strasburg, Virginia). Figuring she was just a lost tourist I told her.
She thanked me and left.....Walking down the street, no car or anything! I watched her hoof it down my street and cross the main road road in front of a bunch of cars!
I called the PD and asked if someone reported an older woman missing and explained the above circumstances, her description, and her direction of travel.
I saw a cruiser headed her way and waited a bit and called the PD to follow up.....They had her and were trying to figure out where she was from so at least she's safe.
The sad part is I doubt she was much older than me.
