The article clearly stated Secretary Hegseth's respect for their Service Records.

It also suggested that the positions were vacated under a disagreement towards their approach in Command.
It would certainly not be the first time a Flag Officer has been removed from Service at the discretion of Command.

You may have 'feelings' regarding the issue ... But they are often sidelined in a military context.
The 'woke' ideology ... In no way addresses what Secretary Hegseth has set as his priorities.

Secretary Hegseth's priorities are ... Unit Readiness, Unit Lethality, And Operational Success.
If Flag Officers are not to prepared to put those ideas and priorities at the forefront of their Command decisions ...
Then Secretary Hegseth has every right to remove them from Command.

Having feelings or an attitude ... Doesn't make someone qualified to be a Flag Officer.
The ability to accept and implement the direction provided by your Superiors towards your Command are a requirement.

The simple desire to fight for the sake of the fight ... Is extinguished in the Military ...
When you have to Surrender to Command.

If a Flag Officer fails to understand that simple reality ...
Then they have no business in a Command position ... Because that is the Responsibility they wield.

Even if an Officer or Soldier chooses not to follow a Command ... They are required to Surrender themselves ...
To their Commanding Officer ... And proceed through the process defined in the UCMJ.

Other than that ... A Flag Officer can be removed from Command ...
For simply failing to follow the directions given to them at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense.

Seriously ... It is not that complicated ... And has nothing to do with how you may feel about anything.
Any objection you may have to the direction the Secretary chooses ... Would make you unfit for Command ...
