GOP Senate Filibusters Debt Ceiling Bill...Shutdown Looms

McConnell has said how important it is to pass this...and blocks it's passage.

These GOP freaks need to be voted OUT
These idiots have already passed $5 trillion in spending this year and not even begun to spend it....once they pass this mess they'll just produce another one before the end of the year that's over $6 trillion.

Irrelevant.

We have financial obligations that have to be met (including the $8.5T from Trump)

McConnell has stated that he knows not doing so is a disaster...and STILL he filibustered this bill

That's strange....but it was $7.5T which is roughly half of what Bush cost us and 1/4th of what Obama cost us.
Biden has been able to spend in 8 months what it took Trump in 3 yrs...before COVID hit.

Never mind the fact that presidents don't spend money....Congress does.

Your party of thugs has voted in everything they've wanted since the current administration was sworn in 8 months ago. They've had the votes and they've ignored the Republican input. They STILL HAVE THE VOTES to raise the debt ceiling. That is the truth and anyone who says it isn't is a LIAR. IF the default comes because the Ds wouldn't risk taking the political responsibility for their out-of-control spending, then let them burn for it. The truth is that if we stopped spending a penny more than we take in with taxes, we STILL couldn't stop a collapse. Let this sorry excuse for a "government", shut down. The sooner, the better.

Funny. If it is going to be such a disaster, maybe the Democrats should compromise and actually take compromise discussions seriously.

Maybe..The Democrats shouldn't play politics and do what is right for the country and not just their party. Compromise with Republican demands is not that hard an ask.

The Dems DID what was right...and they got a Mitch McConnell filibuster as a result
