Getting VERY tired of liberals & atheists throwing out the Jesus card

Just stop already. Most of you don't believe in him anyway and anyone with HALF A BRAIN would know mixing religion with politics NEVER ends well.

Yep, that's what we're faced with - people with HALF A BRAIN. Think about it...

Paint My House said it really well but ...

1. Why is this in politics?
2. There are very few Christians on this board.
3. Atheists have been putting up with the preaching and bible thumping for 2000 years and now you get to hear our side of things.
4. If you believed in the First Amendment, you would be celebrating that fact.
5. What do you care since you're not a Christian anyway?

2 through 5. Get a grip

That's what I thought. You can't answer so you hide.

Religion is funny to me. Sad, too. A dramatic comedy. Fairy tales filled with propoganda key words and brainwashing and humans who cannot see past the grid. Its funny that it works, its sad because its had many real world implications in the negative.

At the same time, its served as a decent codified behaviour control for many too which perhaps assisted in our advancement overall and so i cannot be completely mad at it. Whatever works!

You dont know what i do and dont know about, thinking you do is akin to being a self deluded ****.

I've read your posts for probably years. I have very good insights into what you know and don't. Or more precisely the latter. I have no idea if you know anything at all.
You have a funny habit of posting the opposite of the obvious truth of things. And then deflecting when called on it.

And ive read your posts and blah blah blah

Shaddup

This is a casual message board....not "life" you freakin creepy weirdo.

Creating threads like this is what the liberal scum want, they are trolls that are just stirring up trouble and don't even know what they are typing.

It's not the Jesus card. It's Saul Alinsky's Rule #5.

So it's wrong to call out people who are throwing Christianity in your face on every other political issue?

Practicing a religion doesnt give you a special uber secret decoder ring which allows you to better understand it.

The best way to shun it is to actually read and understand it.

Practicing a religion doesnt give insights into it? ON what planet is true?
And yet the people most devoted to any religion tend to be those who studied it most intensely.

So two stupid thoughtless statements in one post. Congratualtions.
Funny, isn't it? Atheists and agnostics will claim to know more about Christianity than licentiates, masters, and doctors of divinity do, and, by extension, the congregations they pastor.

If devout Christians are so smart about their religion, why do they disagree on so many fundamental issues?

Differences within a community cannot exist?

You're not paying attention again. My comment was about the community of Christians and a different community altogether, i.e., atheists. That chasm is where the real differences reside.

See, I was right. You have a cartoon understanding of religion which you project on others and yet have the arrogance and audacity to lecture others on what they should believe.

I know that there are Christians who believe that abortion is permissible and Christians who believe that abortion is impermissible, so,

when I hear anything in any way resembling an argument that Christianity forbids abortion,

I know that argument has no merit. Especially not religious merit.

It seems like it's the non Christians doing that, lecturing people on how Jesus would do this or that, like they have a ******* clue.

Perhaps the Christians who think abortion is permissable are mistaken?

Good for you. Keep on doing the Lord's work.

That's normally in reaction to some Christian trying to tell a secular society and its secular government how it ought to be run in order to be in accordance with Chrisitianity,

in other words, in accordance with the teachings of Jesus.

So you can't refute the fact that there is no actual legitimately Christian position on abortion that takes one side or the other, and that anyone who says otherwise is simply representing one faction within the Christian faith?

That was my point. And it is irrefutable.

The words of Jesus belong to everyone, and for the most part they aren't that difficult to understand. Tell us, do minsters if the Gospel every use the words of Jesus in an attempt to get you to do the right thing? If they do, then case closed because it's not the speaker you should concern yourself with, it's the teachings of your Lord and Savior.

Tell us, when a US government policy aligns with Jesus, giving shelter and aid to those seeking it, children no less, why would you reject it?

Link?
The only people lecturing others on what Christians should do seem to be non Christians.

In the Scriptures, abortion is a terrible punishment.

What do you think?
