Agreed. Only vote on election day. Must have passport, driver's license, or state issued picture ID. Must also be up to date on all Covid immunizations and boosters, masked up, all property, state, and federal income taxes completely discharged. No pending court cases. Polls are open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM but if you are still in line at 2 you get to vote. No one allowed in the que after 2. Metal detectors in use. Employers are not required to allow workers time to vote. No vans from nursing homes allowed, could be ballot harvesting. No assistance for the handicapped allowed, possible unfair manipulation of voter. No guidance from poll workers, same reason. You walk in, you get your ballot, you go the machine, and you vote. Can't figure it out, sucks to be you.

I live in Georgia and we have weeks of early voting, so if there are long lines ONLY in minority locations it's most likely because people are getting something free for voting, example free church dinner after we all go vote...

Dumbo. The complaint is against widespread mail-in-voting which is prone to manipulation and fraud. There are exceptions, like for the Military and the President. You shouldn't get to vote by mail just because you're too damn lazy to show up and vote in person.

Why is it a mess?

With their new laws, they have some of the strictest controls and rules out there now, for their absentee ballot voting!

Shoot, not only do they have to request a ballot, they have to provide their drivers licence number or an equivalent state or federal ID that they have on file! The family member dropping off your ballot with the voter's permission has to sign the envelope too I think and all kinds of shinola as checks....in addition to mandatory signature match...

They added all kinds of restrictions!

Here in Maine it is easy peasy, comparatively to any state and specifically Georgia!
