Ford spokesman Marty Gunsberg confirmed that the electric pickups are being returned to Ford’s Rouge Electric Vehicle Center for “additional quality checks.” “As a result, we have canceled some dealer stock orders not submitted as pre-sold” for model year 2023,” Gunsberg confirmed to Freep. The company is reassuring the public that none of this is safety related. They just want to make sure the truck’s quality is up to snuff.

It would seem to me that the EV PU's "quality snuff" would be checked before it shipped.

Well Ford isn't cutting all production yet, but they are getting cancellations of dealer purchases (for their lots), and are still facing supply chain issues as well as quality issues that aren't allowing them to ship.

It's on a death knell.. and taking Ford with it. The green new deal strikes again!!

Doesn't that say that "pre-sold" trucks ARE being delivered and and ARE being given to customers? That kinda shoots your conclusions to the ground.

Ford is the snake oil salesman of auto companies. It constantly comes out with new frills mislabeled as new technology. The F-150 Lightning is just the latest example. It won't power your house without expensive alterations to your home's electrical system unless you augment it with a gas powered generator. The Mustang EV isn't a Mustang at all, and the Bronco Sport is actually a Ford Edge. The Fusion plug-in hybrid could barely go 10 miles on a charge, The Ford one-ton F-350 was deceptively compared with other 3/4 ton pickups by making its rear bumper and spare tire "optional." Shall I go on?
