Food Stamps OK For Porn, Tatoos, Jewelry

Like voter ID, a stupid cure for a disease that doesn't exist...

The OP is BS, this is EBT CASH, not food stamps.

As far as people who have enough money to use EBT cash like this- let Pubs stop cutting investigators- DUMB!

OMG!!!

"...investigators..."?????

A franco post with a word over two-syllables???

'Fess up: who wrote this for you?
Your cat?

Evidence?

You don't pay attention to anything but your prejudice, do you?

PC has posted a plethora of evidence, if you were interested you would have read it.

No one has posted a lick of evidence the poor are eating like kings.

And I can guarantee you I am more familiar with what the poor eat than anyone here, having actually fed many hundreds of them myself.

OK...two suggestions:

1. Stop patting yourself on the back.

2. Open your eyes.

Total pubcrappe for the dupes no matter how you look at it, 90% of whom would get the idea that food stamps CAN be used as cash- Pubcrappe as always. Lying POSs....

medication and revereration off the walls...

Are they called Gun Stamps? Or Porn Stamps? Or Tattoo Stamps?

No. They are called FOOD Stamps, and that is ALL that should legally be purchasable with them. FOOD.

Look im going to use you as an example. Its an EBT card. There is Two versions of it,but its one card.
One gives you cash and the other for food. There is a fucki g difference qnd you morons would think you would have learned this fact the last time this debate came up on here.

Just a heads-up, as I try to look out for our lesser brethren....

When you attempt to paint another as a "moron"...

...it would behoove you to take a tighter rein on your language, typing and spelling:

"There is a fucki g difference qnd you morons..."

'Else, you'd engender the kind of laughter you will hear if you put your ear to the computer screen....

The I have no argument, so ill go after grammer in the vain hope of not looking stupid.

Im posting from my phone, I could careless if it screws up.

The end result is that the ebt card has two functions, and you are trying to combine them into one whole card. Its not, it never was.

Of course this is another example of how the state rights meme only goes so far. See now you are trying to use this in connection with obama, like he has a hand or will do the samething. Yet if arizona wants to card people on the street, there is no connection to the fact that the feds have final authority on immigration. No that's clearly a state rights issue...

God you guys is arguments have more holes in them than the french army.

That is interesting

What do you think we should do about it?
It needs to be publicized.

If the situation is as reported here it certainly does not reflect the wishes or intentions of any Progressive or Democratic segment. But before drawing any final conclusions from the report it is important to know if existing laws and directly relevant regulations prohibit the use of food stamps and EBT cards to purchase those things itemized in the report. Because if such prohibitions already exist then repeating them in the text of the budget could be considered redundant.

But still accepted, isn't it? C'Mon DERP? YOU can do better than this.

"YOU can do better than this."

And what makes you think this???

Food stamps for those who need food, and cannot provide for themselves...an old and honorable heritage in America: "On January 6, 1657 twenty-eight “Scottish men” signed the Laws Rules and Order of the Poor Boxes Society” in Boston, New England and formed the Scots’ Charitable Society."

But what the Left has made common is a blemish on the nation and the people...

1."Mass Gov. Deval Patrick Vetoes Ban On Using Welfare EBT Cards To Purchase Porn, Tattoos, Manicures Because It Would “Humiliate Poor People”…No surprise he’s a close friend of Barack Obama (Axelrod ran his first campaign for Mass governor).

Really? They're "close friends"? How often do they hang out together?

Consider the above when you vote.

I don't vote in Massachusetts.

Mikey....what makes you believe that redundancy is, in any way, a bar to legislation?

You're sharper than that....and usually more honest.

"NILES, Ohio — With the next round of voters set to weigh in on the Democratic presidential race, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign on Monday accused Senator Barack Obama of committing plagiarism in a weekend speech. Mr. Obama dismissed the charge as absurd and desperate.

Mr. Obama told reporters he should have credited Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, a friend, for a passage in a speech he delivered on Saturday in Milwaukee. But Mr. Obama said his rival was “carrying it too far.”

Do you know the party and philosophy of Duval Patrick?
No. I know nothing about Duval Patrick. Nor do I know whether or not there already are existing prohibitions to preclude the purchase of the specified items, which, as I said, would tend to make inclusion of those prohibitions in the Budget redundant.

Do you know for certain such prohibitions don't already exist? If not, I also said the issue should be publicized -- which would bring about appropriate disposition.

Last, do you think I approve of the use of food stamps and EBT cards to buy those specified items? I don't. Nor do I believe the majority of those who receive food stamps use them in that way. I simply do not share the opinion that all food stamp recipients are crack whores, junkies, slackers and pimps. There are and always will be the ten percent, but the majority of the poor are simply poor and deserving of public assistance.

Let's find out the facts. If it turns out that Duval is simply pandering to the ten percent then expose and compromise him.

Foodstamps are definitely an entitlement program. A federal entitlement program.

The foodstamp program is now called SNAP, supplemental nutritional assistance program...and recipients receive an allotment of foodstamps (still called foodstamps) on their ebt card.

But it's just money...that can be used only for food.

There's active black market trading that goes on in certain locales....locals will accept inflated foodstamp payment for services...they in turn use the foodstamps. In a neighborhood I lived in briefly the Thais and Laotians would sell dope for foodstamps, then buy staples for their restaurants, and sell what they made to dumbass liberals from the college.

Stupid talking points and idiotic insults from the dupes...as always.

OP is BS. Foodstamps can only be used for food. If EBT cash is used for this stuff, stop cutting investigators. And thanks for the depression, dupes/haters.

2. Patrick vetoed the reforms Sunday while signing the state’s $32.5 billion budget.

3. According to the Boston Herald, which first reported the veto, the governor berated the legislature’s stab at banning the purchase of specific items like manicures, tattoos, guns, porn, body piercings, jewelry, and bail by saying the move was “political grandstanding” at a time when such reforms are already on track elsewhere.

4. “I’m not going to do anything that makes vulnerable people beg for their benefits. This notion of humiliating poor people has got to be separated from how we make a program, and frankly separated and disposed of, from how we make a program work and work well,” Patrick said,...

5. Patrick allowed bans on the use of EBT cards in establishments known for the sale of seemingly controversial items — such as tattoo parlors, gun shops, casinos, cruise ships, and adult entertainment facilities —- to stand."
Exposing Liberal Lies: Deval Patrick OKs Porn, Tatoos, Jewelry with Food Stamps

We live in a time when the welfare industry needs to convinced well-meaning folks that there is a 'need.'
Rather it is a 'want.'

Consider the above when you vote.

That is interesting

What do you think we should do about it?

1. I have often felt that food stamps should be reserved for purchases labeled as nutritious, but 'no-frills.'
No reason for those accepting 'Food Stamps' to eat better than those paying for the benefit.

2.Further, there should be government-sponsored church and other food kitchens available to any with a food stamp card.....no 'doggie bags.'

They are called 'Food Stamps" for a reason.

Wadda you think?

the first amendment called.

it said smarten the fuck up.
