Yeah, the opera is a great place to see people who just will annoy the crap out of you. Especially on opening night, where the largest number of people are those who are there just to dress up and be seen.

Hubby and I used to go in jeans, sit in the second balcony and eat candy, and still get more out of the actual opera than any of the fakes.
