Fearless leader to address the children

Rick Roberts, on 760 here in San Diego, is asking parents to keep all children home from school on Sept 8th, regardless of whether the school shows the speech or not. He says all patriotic, American loving parents will do so.

That was my Idea FIRST!... ******!... Not you Bodey... This time. ;)

:)

There is another post dedicated to Obama's indoctrinati.. oops.. speech.. yeah that's it, speech to America's classrooms on September 8, 2009. This post addresses the youtube that apparently has already been being shown in classrooms.

Parents upset over 'leftist propaganda' video

Watch the video here.

YouTube - I Pledge!

That is truly one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. How that ******* bastard wants us to volunteer to help the poor? Or Michael Strahan saying he would be an "American" instead of an "African American."

It is pretty clear the Jews are probably already being rounded up.

There will be those of course who will minimize this - but if it had been Bush and CO - they would be rightfully outraged then as well.

I spent over a decade teaching at the college level - with much of that time helping implement (trying at any rate) reform at the 9-12 grade levels as the colleges were getting swamped with students who could not perform the historical entry level courses.

Those three years travelling the country doing that research and working with educators, activists, and politicians, really opened my eyes to how bad the K-12 system had become - and one of the greatest instigators of the downfall is at the federal level.

The only real good that came out of the experience is that I was able to be listed as a contributor to a national textbook that has had multiple editions. Those checks are kinda nice - even if the textbook itself turned out nothing like I wanted it to. That is a tale for another time though. It also allowed me to generate a considerable network of influential contacts, particularly in my own state, so when an issue does arise, such as this Obama indoctrination attempt, I can call up people within the education system and raise a bit of a ruckus.

We were successful in doing just that today...

So can a lot of other people who aren't using their partisanship for their school's political football. I served 12 years on our local School Board and wrote a few things myself. Not published, like you, however, so what's the title of the textbook you helped write? I've hobnobbed with the best and the brightest in the academic arena, and I can tell you right now that one of the biggest problems is school boards being influenced by the wealthier residents who want new uniforms for their football players, for example, rather than updated textbooks. Also, NCLB as presently written, does NOT work. Teachers are spending far too much time in preparation for the national testing which takes away from their classroom instruction. Students are NOT learning. They are memorizing.

Very good.

Sarcasm is to Satire as hacking away with a blunt knife is to surgery.

It appears Maggie had no understanding of the difference - and perhaps you too were absent of that understanding.

Each day brings new opportunity for learning though...

If GW Bush had been doing this, you would be screaming bloody murder - and rightly so.

Actually, I think it's a great idea for shrub to go talk with school children - they're all smarter than he is anyway... especially those who can speak proper English and can read. Heck, my cat is smarter than he is. Actually, I think he could benefit from going back to elementary school full time. I see him in 5th grade remedial classes?
