Fearless leader to address the children

If GW Bush had been doing this, you would be screaming bloody murder - and rightly so.

Actually, I think it's a great idea for shrub to go talk with school children - they're all smarter than he is anyway... especially those who can speak proper English and can read. They're all smarter than he is anyway. Heck, my cat is smarter than he is. Actually, I think he could benefit from going back to elementary school full time. I see him in 5th grade remedial classes?

Thank you for wasting the 10 seconds of my life that it took for me to read your useless post. <note: heavy sarcasm intentional>

Lord knows I could have extended my life another month if I had skipped all of yours.

Yet read them you do.

What, you disagree Maggie? All this talk of indoctrination is so silly. I can't believe you people are grown adults with independently working brains. No wonder we had shrub voted in TWICE despite the obvious inadequacy. Don't you people have jobs or something? I thought repugs were the only ones that worked... Looks like you're all on here all day long.

Maggie, I suspect you will lol at his post. :D

sarcasm definition - Dictionary - MSN Encarta

sar·casm [ sr kàzzəm ]

noun

Definition:

cutting language: remarks that mean the opposite of what they seem to say and are intended to mock or deride

[Mid-16th century. Directly or via French< late Latin sarcasmus< Greek sarkazein "tear flesh" < sarx "flesh"]

Very good.

Sarcasm is to Satire as hacking away with a blunt knife is to surgery.

It appears Maggie had no understanding of the difference - and perhaps you too were absent of that understanding.

Each day brings new opportunity for learning though...

Satire Definition | Definition of Satire at Dictionary.com

–noun
1. the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.
2. a literary composition, in verse or prose, in which human folly and vice are held up to scorn, derision, or ridicule.
3. a literary genre comprising such compositions.

 Next??

Sarcasm, like irony, can be an ingredient of satire - not satire itself.

Though regarding ingredients of satire, parody is far more common.

The post referenced by you earlier was clearly sarcasm - not satire.

No need for you to feel embarrassed - it is a common error...

HEY! Not allowed unless he can read the book upside down like W did.

He will fry their little brains with socialism and commie pinko shit.

What a bunch of right wingnut bull crap.

They will put the speech on the whitehouse blog so you can read it.

Had the left acted like this if Bush was going to speak to schools, we would have been called traitors and everything else to not let the standing president speak.

What bunch of hippo crips.

The current right has become a group of disgruntled pissed off little kids who lost the election and now they won't play by the rules.

Those who talk of seccession, talk of revolution -- traitors to what a democracy and free elections are all about.

So sorry, but you lost that one. Just admit it. To argue over similar terms implies that your ego won't allow you to be even slightly wrong, ever.
