Fearless leader to address the children

I was replying to her post. Anyway. gotta go!

I'm confused. Since I don't know which post anyone's talking about, I don't know what I'm supposed to have disagreed with.

You're clearly an immature person, Sinatra. Do your high-profile academiacs you "spoke to" about the President's message to students know you act like one of their students when not pretending to be an adult?

 Next??

Sarcasm, like irony, can be an ingredient of satire - not satire itself.

Though regarding ingredients of satire, parody is far more common.

The post referenced by you earlier was clearly sarcasm - not satire.

No need for you to feel embarrassed - it is a common error...

So sorry, but you lost that one. Just admit it. To argue over similar terms implies that your ego won't allow you to be even slightly wrong, ever.

Sorry - a finger is not a hand. Just as sarcasm is not satire.

You don't have the legs to dance with me old girl - not on this subject...

These guys do though. I met Terry Jones back in the way back. Grumpy bastard.

What, you disagree Maggie? All this talk of indoctrination is so silly. I can't believe you people are grown adults with independently working brains. No wonder we had shrub voted in TWICE despite the obvious inadequacy. Don't you people have jobs or something? I thought repugs were the only ones that worked... Looks like you're all on here all day long.

Jealousy ... now comes in blue.

As Barack Obama prepares a nationwide broadcast to America's students next Tuesday, it has been revealed that Democrats complained in 1991 when then President George H. W. Bush broadcast a speech from a Northwest Washington junior high school.

In fact, the House Majority leader at the time, Dick Gephardt (D-Mo.), said "The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students."

:doubt: Sorry Maggie, but that's a sad response. People whine about no linkages and complain that there "is no proof" ... and now you see why no one bothers anymore.

Well hell, if I wanted to drag out my old 3X3 floppies and/or frantically scan the Internet, I could go one-on-one with any of you with he said/she said bullshit. But only YOU people think it's important enough to reach back THAT far. I'll bet 99% of the little children who post here don't even know who Dick Gephardt is.

Perhaps Obama's poll numbers are proving too much for her? Relax Maggie and think a bit before you post - otherwise you will be linked with the likes of Bobo...

Dramatic recreation of Maggie not getting the respect that in her own distracted globe, she is certain she deserves. Here we see her following one of her many less-than-insightful posts on USMB where Willow quickly points out the Maggie's complete lack of logic and intellectual honesty...

Wow ... you really don't see the hypocrisy?

Not really. People have said and done many things in the past that have absolutely no bearing on today. George W. Bush spoke at schools and colleges too, but I didn't post links to those, although to some that too would be considered hypocrisy since it's the pubs who are whining about Obama's attempt to reach children. Frankly, I'm glad when ANY president puts himself out to the future leaders of the country as being relevant to the process, and you should too. The fact that you and your ilk somehow think that's a bad thing is what's hypocritical.

Like I care. What's the point of trying to have conversations with brick walls? Seems the only thing that gets your attention is when one of us becomes grumpy. Then, of course, it's all about that and not the topic itself, which is indicative of your priorities. As long as you can feel smug, you think you've "won." Hardly...

Hyprocritical tripe.

Did you read the lesson plan provided by the feds?

The very thing the administration backed off of today. Why? Because they knew they intruded - again.
