Facts About the Vietnam War that Liberal Historians Ignore

Worse than that there was no war in Vietnam until "we" created it. "We" put a stop to the Democratic election and started a war instead.
When did the communists allow a “democratic” election in any country they controlled? I can’t think of a single one. Communist elections are always fixed so the anointed party candidate wins by massive margins. Korea? No free election, Poland? No free election, East Germany? No free election, Hungary? No free election, Romania? No free election. Shall I go on?

Eisenhower got sucked into the 'Nam by De Gaulle. Ike always felt Charlie for his service during WWII. De Gaulle manipulated him. After the humiliating defeat at Dien Bien Phu, the handwriting was on the wall. The "French War", as it was a victory, as was the "American War". For Ho Chi Minh it was always a war of Re-Unification, nothing more and nothing less.
Ike and Kennedy had no interest in sending American troops to fight in Indochina. They sent aid and training advisors. Lyndon Baines Johnson was the jackass who committed US combat troops to the war.

I agree to a point but I think there might be a general misconception. During the French colonial occupation the Catholic population was given privilege while the Buddhists were treated as sort of second class citizens. The Catholics therefore were not as eager to toss the French out of Vietnam. So, when you use the word "unification" I'm not sure that we are talking about the same thing. Anyway, as the French packed up their duffle bags and gunny sacks the US saw an opportunity to simply take over where the French left off by encouraging a North - South (read Buddhist - Catholic) separation of the nation. So, rather than assist the nation in its upcoming Democratic election the US decided to occupy the southern part of Vietnam, thwart the Democaratic election, and declare the south a sovereign nation. That was not what Ho Chi Minh had in mind when he defeated the French occupation. So, we're back to "unification" on another level.

Yes trere was and we started NOTHING.

We did no such thing concerning the election. The Vietnamese were free to hold elections but did not

You are ignorant of the history of that war

Minh thwarted the election not the US

You can call me what you want. I don't give a stuff so I don't know what "complaint" you are referring to. As a matter of fact, if you think that comment of mine means what you said it does then I prefer that you believe it. Stupid? Remain stupid.

I am a Vietnam War Veteran. I'm sure I know more than you about it.

There is no such thing as "South Vietnamese". Stupid? Remain stupid.

You are boring me with your childish remarks.

More stupidity.
You are a liar

You are no veteran and never served we proved that in the past

You know nothing about it

Communism was ( And is ) the biggest threat America faced in the Second half of the 20th Century and even now in the 21st Century ) the French had no real say so in that
Nonsense, how does a peasant army fighting a foreign army who came from thousands of miles away in the paddy fields of South East Asia pose a threat to the US? you have been brainwashed since school.

Well you have been telling us Venezuala Nicaragua and Chile were Communist for years, they all have had several elections you just don't like the result same as you didn't like the result in Ukraine and now Georgia.

Nonsense,
Mildly stated.

I can't wait for his response to that question.
you have been brainwashed since school.
His first two words were probably:

1). Communism.
2). Bad.

If you ask him what Communism is I'm sure he will say, "Bad".
If you ask him to describe Communism I'm sure he will say. "Bad".
If you ask him what the Communist indoctrinate is I'm sure he will say, "Bad".
If you ask him what the Communist view on employment/unemployment is I'm sure he will say, "Bad".
If you ask him what Communism has contributed to Vietnam I'm sure he will say, "Bad".
If you ask him why Communism opposed the French occupation of Vietnam I'm sure he will say, "Bad".
If you ask him why Communism opposed the US occupation of Vietnam I'm sure he will say, "Bad".

*** You may jump in any time and make a contribution.

That's what you do when you lose an argument you question peoples credentials it won't wash.
Yes. We may be very close now to discovering "the missing link" or possibly the brink of human reversion. The next generation of them could very well be more comfortable on 'all fours'.

I questioned nothing.

Thiss guy goes way back and it is PROVEN he is a liar. Not questioned. he is too ignorant and dishonest about both the war and the military in general to be a veteran.

For example he did not understand that puerto ricans are americans and was accusing them of fraudulently wearing US army uniforms instead of their own national uniforms.

He also claimed the US did not deploy 19 year olds to vietnam when in fact over half the troops killed were 19

He is a stolen valor poser that is fact not question

I just told you. ➡️"We" put a stop to the Democratic election.⬅️Read for god's sake.
You are wrong we did no such thing.

We did not put a top to anything Minh did

You are ill informed and a liar

Yeah "elections" where the selected party candidate always won by huge margins and the "opposition" scored in single digits. Those aren't free and democratic elections; they are SELECTIONS like the democrats did with Harris this year as their candidate.

The truth is you only support democracy when the result goes your way, the US is in no position to lecture anyone about democracy, American politics is a circus.

It’s a circus in which the candidate with the most people voting for him wins. NOT the anointed leader. I’ve never protested an election in my life, when my side loses, I just accept it and say we will get then next time.

Communists just don't have Democrat elections it's not part of their religion.
