Yay! I've been calling for this for a long, long time.

Check out point .25 about how America, despite all the $$$ thrown at education does not rank well compared to other countries RE education.

At point 3.20 Betsy DeVos talks about how money from the federal gvt (D of E) goes to schools with strings attached aka an AGENDA.

she must be talking about the agenda of introducing our innocent children to pornographic books...

She didn't mention what those particular strings are. Most of the federal rules are regarding spending Title I funds and special education funds which are the only federal funding contributions. Another lesser-known rule is that the federal government reimburses the cost of the education for government employees that attend local schools. When I was in the military, I completed a form every year that was turned into my kid's school that I was military and assigned to a facility in the local area. I did this in Rhode Island, Virginia, and Florida. When I worked for the US government (DoD) I did the same in Kentucky.

There is no agenda. This has been that way for decades.


Most people confuse funding issues with things like Common Core standards being promoted by the Education department back in early 200O, but it was only offered as additional funding to implement those standards. If the state chose not to use them, there was no penalty. Many states refused the funds and lost nothing because they had no costs to implement them.

Municipalities generally pick up about 90% of the tab for the local school systems. The Little perks and grants that come in from the department of education generally fund small-scale special projects and often will have an ultimate goal of propaganda sewn in to the perspectus.

I worked in two rural districts in Kentucky from 2012-2015. Each district office was in a converted residence, smaller than the house I lived in. There were maybe 10 total employees each. Both districts had about a dozen schools with a large high school of about 1000 or so students. They were not very big.
