EXCELLENT! Department of Education may be axed!

...

We spend more than any other Country per pupil but we remain near the bottom of industrialized Nations.

...

Because we attempt to educate everyone, not just a top percentage that is regularly whittled down as students move along the educational spectrum.

Which is a good point.

Should we be attempting to educate everyone ? Does not seem to work to well.

But I appreciate your insights.

That is just simply bullshit.

What passes for edumucation in this country is nothing more than a government-paid Day Care Center. That's it. Nothing more. I've raised kids and I have grandkids. I know. Plus, I live in the State with the best educational system in the Country. Florida. Look it up

Know why? Because we don't play around with bullshit teachers and we don't mess up with public schools that are failing.

Look up how good we are. Or not. Don't really care what you do

Right...And the feds have furthered this goal since the DoE was created how?

Show us the test scores, professor.

"The feds" don't run the schools; states and local districts do.

You're really the kind of bliss ninny who honestly believes that the federal money comes without strings, aren't you?

The great majority of school funding comes from local property taxes. We've been over this many times before.

You know because you had kids? Does that really make sense to you? How long have you worked as a teacher?

That's not the question...Those receiving the federal benefits are beholden to the benefactor, no matter the size of the funding.

You really are a poor fucking "educator" if you can't recognize the clear question and dynamic in play.

The dynamic is older than the Bible; you owe your allegiance to those from whom you derive your benefits.

...

You didn't even read what you wrote, did you?

It's simply true.
You didn't even read what you wrote, did you?

Municipalities generally pick up about 90% of the tab for the local school systems. The Little perks and grants that come in from the department of education generally fund small-scale special projects and often will have an ultimate goal of propaganda sewn in to the construct.
