What I know when I was hired in this particular School District (my 2nd job) there were 5 people in the entire District Office.

Superintendent
Assistant Superindentent
Secretary for the two mentioned above
An Accountant in Payroll.
A Secretary at the Front desk.
This was in 1990.
The District had an enrollment of approximately 200 students per class...

Now, same District, 34 years later, the average class size has indeed grown to 400 per class......about double the size in 34 years.
However, the District office has grown Exponentially, to about 80 employees,.....

The Super has her own personal Secretary and the Secretary has a Secretary......each making near $100,000 per year......The growth in the DO is unfounded and Plain Stupid.


5 to 80, with the District just DOUBLING in Size.

That's pretty typical, sad to say.

That's what educators like to claim. But here's a simple fact, my daughter attended a private school. She had a friend who attended a Gifted and Talented program in a middle school, so my daughter sat in on a class. The GATE class was TWO years behind my daughters class.

This is about 7 or 8 years ago. My daughter is now attending ETH Zurich and loving it.

Our educational system in this Country just simply SUCKS ASS!

We spend more than any other Country per pupil but we remain near the bottom of industrialized Nations.

Do away with the whole thing and go to a voucher system. Plus, do away with the requirement for a College degree. Why do you need a College Degree to teach 1st and 2nd Graders the Alphabet?

You don't. The whole system is a scam.
