You can see the United States as.the elephant with his foot on the head of a victim. However if the victim's head is made of stone it makes little difference

I love all of my conservative pals here...
It's possible that Iran was going to do this one way or another I don't know.

But at this point it's fair to say that Iran is basically kicking ass.

It's also true that they're having their asses kicked.

Yes they're population is suffering but they have a completely different credo than we do.

They accept suffering.

We on the other hand do not.

I don't know what's going to happen going forward but I can tell you one thing The culture that exists in that country it's far more long suffering than the one that exists here.

I hope this all turns out well for everyone involved.

I'm not abandoning my conservative values just making an honest assessment.

I don't begrudge these animals as long as their teeth and claws are removed.

Clearly our military-industrial complex learned not a damn thing when we attempted this same thing by using Saddam as a proxy back in the 80's.

so do we really need to understand them JO?

Yes, that is imperative. And just as important, do our leaders really understand OUR capabilities?

Even if we did it really wouldn't help.
There are 93m Iranians and about 125,000 IRGC left standing.

Your point is well taken after 30,000 poorly trained and poorly armed Taliban kicked the living sh!t out of 700,000 US trained regular AFG army troops well armed with modern US equipment. The CIA needs to do much better in Iran, at least in Iran there were protesters who oppose the current regime.

I still think if Trump wanted, as a "break the glass" option, a land campaign with the Kurds and willing Gulf states.
Taking the Hormuz area should be relatively easy if the CIA can keep the Artesh (Iran's regular army) in their barracks for safety.

Not sure when the time will be right to topple the regime, but its coming.
