Something needs to be done. The ATF sold (gave?) 2,000 illegal weapons to drug cartels in Mexico with some cockeyed plan to trace the serial numbers. One of the serial numbers came up when a US Border Patrol agent was killed with one of the weapons that the ATF donated to the Mexican criminals. That makes it a capital offense. Holder must have known about it. How would a part of the "justice" dept be able to pull off such a profoundly stupid elaborate monstrosity of a plan without the A.G.'s OK?

Can't...Holders going to jail if we still have a workable justice system in this country anymore...I really don't understand how the hell Obama couldn't of known to.

The idea came from the Oval Office.

It fits some of his past actions. Generate a crisis and use it to pass your programs.

They started up the health care debate to get Obamacare passed.

The BP oil spill allowed them to cut off oil production in the Gulf.

The Banking Crisis allowed them to institute Dodd-Frank.

They couldn't get Cap and Trade passed but they pushed it through with EPA regulations.

They wanted to eliminate the 2nd Amendment so they dreamed up Fast and Furious.

Obama knew about it.

I would bet that F&F was Rahm Emanuel's idea. It would be delicious to see him grilled by the House ethics committee. Seeing he's no longer protected by the executive branch, it could get very messy.

One of the questions on Form 4473 is “I am the buyer of this firearm” and the purchaser must answer honestly yes or no, by checking the appropriate box in ink. However, purchase of a firearm as a bona fide gift for someone who can legally own such a firearm is permitted.
