The "China problem" that concerns them down to their bones is the result of the corporate greed of 1970s, 80s, and 90s. The "billionaires" of that era wanted much, much lower labor costs. But, organized labor was too strong, way back then.

So, with the jobs being done by American workers accustomed to a middle class lifestyle, the search began for cheap labor outside the U.S.

It began when Nixon traveled to Red China, to make nice with the Communist Leaders. (Remember, the Nixon of McCarthyism referred to McCarthy's suspects as "Commonists", it was the right-wing lingo of the period.) But, Nixon understood the importance of "opening Red China" to the United States.

By the time the Reagan administration arrived, American business was already represented in Red China and other "red" countries. Reagan then provided the means Big Business had waited for to get the cheap labor they'd searched for.

With massive corporate tax cuts and federal subsidies to finance the great corporate emigration to China (a "business friendly" Red China no longer needed the "red"), and conservatives, again, hailed Reagan an economic hero, as they waved goodbye to their high-paying, manufacturing jobs.

For the next few decades the billionaires and corporate leaders spent their days patting themselves on the backs for their shrewd business acumen, the profits their lobbyists brought them, and the quarterly bonuses that would be rolling in forever.

But, time and karma can be b!tches. The Chinese kept pace with corporate America's need for production of newer designs for old products, the production of new electronics, appliances, and all of the other crap American consumers see in TV commercials and realize "life ain't worth living with out that very piece of crap."

The Chinese operated the factory equipment Big Business sent them in the 1980s, but new ideas need new production equipment and procedures. Corporate heads change over time, old farts retire, young go-getters and/or a$$-kissers get promoted or hired.

Who among the newer Big Business wizards ever realized the Chinese no longer worked for the American businesses, operating U.S.-made factory equipment. The Chinese now own the factories, having scrapped the obsolete machinery in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

So, where does this leave America's billionaires and corporate big wigs?

Screwed by their own greed, or that of a retired or dead former corporate big wig. The Chinese got 'em, but didn't require any help from Americans during the twenty-first century.

The Chinese got all the help they needed from the American businessmen and politicians of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, to screw the billionaires and corporate leaders of today.
