Left vs Right. Never compromise with the other side, always attack the other side, turn a blind eye to your own shortcomings, just attack, attack, attack. This is what voters elected our lawmakers to do - then they stand there, scratching their backsides and wonder why there is so much gridlock, and so little gets done.

It's not rocket science people. "My way, or the highway!" will only lead to gridlock. Working with the other side, each giving some ground to get legislation passed is far better than doing nothing at all. As the old Pogo comic strip once said:

"I have seen the enemy - and it is us!"

There is no compromise with the left, they are violent, and seek power at any cost. Americas socialist movement has to be destroyed and thats what is happening

I'm guessing you don't know true proportional representation and how it works. Hindenburg bending over for Hitler was not a true reflection of it, just as the current situation with the USA wannabe Emperor who now sits in the WH is any more representative of how the US system is supposed to work.

Again, you have no idea how it works. Here's a hint: no matter how much gerrymandering there is in the US at state or federal level, it still isn't proportional representation. I'm not American.

You're full of shit. PR put the Nazis the Reichstag. In 1928 and 1930 the Nazis wouldn't have won any seats in the Reichstag without PR. Maybe 1 or 2 at the most in 1930. Instead they got 107. PR fueled the rise of the Nazi's.

PR feeds extremism. Without it the Nazi party would have merely been a footnote in German history.

Says the guy with an extremist in the WH at the moment. And a cabinet full or conspiracy theorists and under-qualified gimps. For every example of Germany in the 1930s I can give you a dozen examples where it words fine. Most of Western Europe, NZ and Australia use variations of the PR system, and we love it.
