And fearful rubes

Trump’s base of white working-class authoritarians is scared of what they view as a “new” America, one in which they believe that the psychological and material wages of Whiteness will not be as great. :itsok:

Conservative authoritarians display high levels of nationalism, social dominance behavior, intolerance, out-group anxiety and bigotry, racism, a need for binary “yes” or “no” answers, a yearning for epistemic closure, and higher levels of religiosity. Terror management theory suggests that conservative authoritarians are especially prone to loving “the flag, guns, god, and religion” because these symbols and institutions are fixed points that will, in theory, outlive a given person.

They are like the Tea Party who have collectively found their Grand Wizard who will lead them back to white 1953. And he is screaming from the pulpit with religious fervor "follow me back to 1953 and we'll be great again just like when you were children and America was dominant white and nothing else mattered".

Triumph Of The Will.

Alaska is stuck in the 1950s, it's not so bad, if we could ditch the religious strangle-hold (which thankfully Trump doesn't follow so much) it'd be pretty utopian :)

Did you really just post a Salon article as support for your claim? You realize that, rather than supporting you, that makes you look even more absurd right?

I'm not a Trump supporter, you wouldn't even be wrong to say that I greatly fear an America led by Trump. However, calling his followers a "white cult" is demeaning more towards you then it is to him or his supporters. Furthermore, if you don't like Trump and are looking to decrease support for him, then the LAST thing you should look to do is polarize the population. By posting such a blatantly biased and distasteful opinion, not only would you fail to convince any rational individual of the points you are trying to make against Trump, but any individual "on-the-fence" supporting Trump would likely be driven FURTHER towards supporting him by being shown how radical and out of touch your opinions are.

Maybe to put it in more understandable terms, YOU are displaying the exactly same behavior as many of Trump's supporters. A radicalized, nonsensical position that resorts more to name calling than to reason.

However, maybe I'm misunderstanding your post. Maybe the actual point of your post is one of humor. Of being so satirically lacking of awareness and basic intellect as to be a parody that generates a smile. I suppose, given that understanding, you are successful.
