Love without reciprocity, works and deeds, according to scriptures and Jesus’ own words, not that a supernatural Jesus ever existed, is not a true love.

I do what I do because I think it unhealthy for people to think that a genocidal and infanticidal god is somehow a good god, especially when his religions are homophobic and misogynous and continue to do a lot of damage to society.

This only holds up for those who believe this life is a test. The perspective changes for those who believe the purpose of this life is to learn--and to have fun. God's word, given to us and spoken by Jesus, was turn away from sin and that sin is forgiven. Some men of that time may have been able to execute the messenger, but God's word prevailed. Turn away from sin and towards obedience, and that sin is forgiven. Much more effective than going up to the Temple in Jerusalem with a sacrifice of cereal, and or coin.

You might want to look at what scholars and the intelligent ancients think of your way of reading myths. You likely don't care but you never know. You might believe what your bible says.

I hope you can see how intelligent the ancients were as compared to the mental trash that modern preachers and theists are using with the literal reading of myths.
