Money runs the United States of America.
ALL others are just servants to those who hold the most of it.

The more money you control....the higher your position in the pecking order.
Best I can tell, the minimum net assets to be eligible to join the club today is $100 million.

It makes sense that successful people should have more influence than non successful ones,

Yes?

Originally my answer was yes, but due to his decision making during the Iranian war it has turned to no. He's lost his mind thinking that he could actually negotiate with Iran. 🙄

Please be honest now.

Geez. Why do you even ask a question like that?

It makes sense that successful people should have more influence than non successful ones,

Yes?

I think this would require a good definition of "successful".

Well, if that influence were at least partially mutually beneficial.
Just because someone is "successful", doesn't necessarily mean they are good people or have good intentions.
It still has to be taken in context and limited.

To have a "Representative" government, ALL must have some influence. Giving excessive influence to only the successful removes that.

If by successful you mean wealthy......
Wealth tends to warp your perspective on reality of those not wealthy.
For example, very wealthy people never have to worry about the mundane things those without wealth do...like paying bills.

If you give influence (politically and administratively) only to those who are "successful" then you might get a society that caters only to the successful at the expense of the not so much wealthy (successful?).

Some people work hard their entire lives and have little to show for it except they kept a roof over their heads (and their families) and were able to eat meals.
I would not label these people 'NOT Successful'

Trump's presidency is effectively over already.

The Republican Party knows they are going to get destroyed in November because of Trump's derangement, corruption, and idiocy. Their only hope in November is gerrymandering and cheating.
^^^^ coming from a Platner groupie.

On the mentality basis I never thought he could pass a high school civic test and was never fit to lead.
As far as his negotiations with Iran go, he hasn't done any worse than the one-sided deal he made in favor of the Taliban in his first term.

Yet I voted "yes" he is fit to serve out his term. Partially out of wishing the best for him as I would anyone and partially going back to the notion of not changing horses in midstream.

President Trump is the most criticized President of my lifetime, and most of the criticism is literally irrational. TDS is no joke.

At the PRESENT MOMENT people are on edge about his leadership and judgment, mainly because we don't know what is truly going on with respect to Iran. The Media and the Democrats take everything he says with a grain of salt, and report the verbal flatulence coming out of Iran - no matter the source - as unquestionable truth. We won't know the real picture for some time, maybe months.

But his list of accomplishments is literally dizzying. He has STOPPED illegal immigration and embarked on the monumental task of inducing a small fraction of the illegals to leave. He has sorted out our relationships with Canada, NATO, China, and Britain, and is still working on Cuba, Greenland, and Venezuela. He was instrumental in toning down the conflict in Gaza, and will shortly dispose of Hezhollah and the Hooties.

Unfit? Compared to whom?
Embarrassing yourself again, I see.

Trump is absolutely fine to continue running the nation and unless his physician says otherwise, I'm sticking with him.
On the other hand, I don't agree with those in the party that think he should have a third term. The party needs to find another well known businessman/celebrity with the following:
Speaking eloquence (That is one thing Trump didn't have), 100% pro-Constitution and Bill of Rights defender (especially with our 2nd Amendment). Speaks more than just English. Strong on borders and pro-citizens and anti-illegal migrants.

You seem overly focused on Trump and Trump alone.
How do you compare Trumps handling of foreign affairs with Obama's? Biden's ?
Is that a serious question?

There is a reason the previous 6 or 7 Presidents never started a war with Iran.....they were all 1,000 times smarter and wiser than Trump.

And they were smart enough to surround themselves with strong advisors who knew what they were doing......you would never find someone as ******* stupid as the professional cuck Pete Hegseth working for Obama, Biden, or even Dubya for that matter.

Guess we'll find out.

Trump is the deal maker; this could be one of his greatest deals.

I rather like that Trump is willing to take on such challenges. Sure beats Joe Biden's greatest challenge of trying not to let his Grape Nehi fall over in the sand.

I get that there is great pressure on Trump to NOT use force, to resolve by diplomacy, so I understand his giving peace a chance, but I also know Trump is not going to be left standing there with his penis in his hand, and if he is forced to, he will destroy Iran overnight because one way or the other, Iran is not walking out of this with nuclear capability much less control over the Strait.

You've been had, simpleton.

Trump is now officially Iran's little *****.

By all means, list the 5 principles of the Democrat party that people will vote for you in November for. If people will vote Democrat, tell me why.

Go.

You miss the point....as always.

Trump is so ******* horrible that the Democrats can stand for absolutely NOTHING in November and still pick up 20 House seats.

Again unlike Biden (who was MUCH worse) is cognitive and physically healthy, I just don't agree with a lot of his decisions right now. Hopefully, he knows better than me though.
