Diversity is Not Our Strength

Progs have been extolling the virtues of "diversity" for decades. However, they can never point to any such benefits.
There are areas in this world where there is security, freedom, and prosperity, especially in relation to those other areas where tyranny and lawlessness still exist and economic security does not.
It’s fifty years now since I was at university and a great deal of my time there -- especially the weekends -- is long forgotten.
I do remember going with the intention of studying math and economics. At that time, and maybe still, there was a requirement, in the first year, to take other subjects. Whether this was to prevent specializing too soon or to provide a more rounded education or both I don’t know but, when my second year began one of those other subjects became all of my classes, either Modern History or Economic History.
At that level, the assumption was that you already knew the who, what, where and when of historical events and the focus was on the why. So, there were no multiple choice or true/false questions, only two-thousand-word essays on the why of important events in history. I was fascinated with these, basically, puzzles, working back in time to see what had happened to set in motion the factors behind, for example, the outbreak of wars.
One of these assignments was to “Account for the Industrial Revolution occurring in Britain before other countries.” For a long time, the accepted explanation had been that the “Protestant Work Ethic’ was the reason but, while there was an innate industriousness in the people of Britain generally, it was no more so than some of their neighbors in Europe. Equally, while Britain had adequate ore and coal resources it was no more blessed than many other countries and much less than some. Neither did Britain have a massive population or land area.
What is it that makes you think Britain was some sort of isolated genetic swimming pool?

There were people living there long before the Romans bought their culture and genes to the region. Then the Vikings came bringing their strength and creativity and in 1850?

Britain had some 365k immigrants annually with immigration accounting for more than 1/3 of Britain's population growth. Britain, in 1850 was indeed the product of diversity AS IS THE US.

In fact, if it were not for the DIVERSITY introduced into North America from Europe the North American continent would be little more than widely separated groups of hunter/gatherer/farmers.

You can't prove that Britain benefitted from these "immigrants."

LefTard Logic:
”Hey ******, we came here to ride your back but I think we’ll take over now….you know, because us dark people always tend to build better communities, cities, states and countries and all….thanks for building the greatest nation on the planet in a short 150 years doing it your way…but we’ll go ahead and do it our way moving forward.”

Makes perfect sense in backward thinking, totally twisted, twilight zone LibTardia

Sounds like you're not taking your being marginalized very well. Thats a real shame. LOL

Are tacos and burritos not a benefit to our food diversity?

What do you alt-white people eat everyday? Oatmeal and plain white bread, not toasted as it would be brown...
He forgets Christmas as celebrated in this country......all from diversity. Same with our music, our food, our holidays, our names (of people and places), our language, etc. He's not very smart.....that comes from avoiding diversity.

Nah, nobody can marginalize me, I‘m way past that...but you bottom feeders can’t ride the George Floyd wave much longer…the fad is fading fast.

Every prosperous nation has a large immigrant labor force.

That always have, do, and will.

Welcome to reality.
What immigrants do the Chinese use? In fact their treatment of their own minority groups tends to disprove what you claim.

That's hardly adequate compensation for the trillions we have spent on immigrants. There is also all the crime, teenage pregnancies' and other social pathologies we have imported.
SSDD with the Germans, the Irish, the Italians, the Polish, the Jews, the Russians, the Japanese, the Chinese, and now the Hispanics. They even have a political party for you....the Know Nothings.

There are three sincere points of view about diversity.

First, some people think that it's great that the Caucasian majority will be gone in 30 years and that this country will have all minority groups for a while until Hispanic people become more than 50% of the population sometime in the 22nd century.

Second, some people think that it's better if this country stays a Caucasian-majority nation along with sizeable numbers of African Americans and Asian Americans and Hispanic Americans and Native Americans.

Third, some people would prefer to return to the days when Caucasians were 90% or more of the total population, and minorities were really minorities.

Obviously, the first group is going to have their wish come true.
Define Caucasian.....it's been a moving definition for well over 100 years.

The Republican party racist? Nah, I bet you can't find a single thread that demonstrates that.

It is the equivalent to "The Dumbing down of the USA."
