Dick Cheney would have been considered brilliant if:
There would have been weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq.

If the Americans would have been greeted as liberators by the Iraquis after throwing over Saddam.

If an exemplerary Democracy would have been able to be set up in Iraq.

If that Iraq democracy would have had a domino effect resulting in democracies through out the middle east.

If the over throw of Saddam would not have strengthened Iran in the middle east.

If torture had actually provided better intelligence than the proven tactic previously used by our intelligence community.

I could go on but I do not want to kick a dead horse.

History has shown Dick Cheney to be absolutely wrong on the vast majority of assumptions he based his policies on. His incompetence has harmed the US and the entire world.

He will go down as the most powerful vice president and the worst vice president in history.

Very few human beings have had such a negative effect on the world. History will not be kind to Dick Cheney.

if.... he were a democrat.

Your premises are wrong

  • There were WMD in Iraq
  • America was greated by liberators, not by Al Qaida though.
  • At least one major state sponsor of terrorism is no longer sponsoring terrorism. Also, having 100,000 american troops right near Syria, and Iran, gives them a clear message too.
  • Waterboarding was used on only 3 arch terrorists. Because of it two major terrorists attacks within America were foiled, and thousands of american lives were saved.
  • Cheney was spot on
Your premises are completely wrong

Hey.....Chump Mike........

There were ZERO WMD's in Iran. It was a war for oil and profit for Cheney and Bush Jr. All they ever found were some aluminum tubing, not WMD's.

America wasn't greeted as liberators. Why? We weren't wanted there as AQ had already been there and scared the population. We didn't start to get friendly with the people until after we'd been there for a while and the TROOPS ON THE GROUND, not the idiots running the war are the ones that started to turn it around by going out and actually interacting and staying with the local people rather than leave the base at day and return at night.

Who is the major state sponsor of terrorism that dropped out?

The attacks that waterboarding prevented was a total fabrication. The dates don't match up.

Cheney was spot on? Really? About what? The old dumb fucker has been wrong about every decision he's made with the exception of the greedy ones that benefited only himself.

By the way Chump Mike, did you ever serve?

And his idiot puppet Bush played a major role.

But Bush was definitely the puppet and Cheney pulled the strings.

Toward the end of Bush's second term he realized Cheney's advise was not working. Bush was not real quick.

Since Bush was incapable of decisions on his own he started to let others than Cheney pull his strings and the last 2 years of his presidency was his best. That is a relative analysis.

I think Bushes daddy sent cheney along to ward off him embaressing the Bush name, but it didn't work. Nothing would've helped Dubba.

FDR and Churchill defeated possibly the greatest tyrant the world has seen, Adolph Hitler.

That's like saying Stalin helped defeat Hitler.
The Russians did more to defeat Hitler than the allies. Look at German casualties to confirm this. But George Zhukov played the pivotal role there, not Stalin. In fact Stalin's interference in military matters made things harder on the Russians; much like Hitler's interference cost Germany any hope of victory or even stalemate.

FDR destroyed constitutional balances to aggrandize his own office. He sought out war because his socialist policies had failed and that was the only cure he could see for the economy - kill thousands of young Americans. FAR FAR worse than the offenses of Cheney.

Churchill BUNGLED during WWI note that is the FIRST WW. HE could have taken steps to reduce the chance of a second war and failed. Miserably.

And frankly talking about evil done in 'few' as percentage of the hundred billion or so humans ever to live, then Obama and most of our elected officials could easily qualify for that same level of evil. Either FEW means a dozen or so, or it has so little meaning as to be another weasel word used here by left wing parasites to press their agenda of BLAME BOOOOOOOOOOSH

Charley, come on buddy, what history books do you read

Stalin and Russia did help defeat Hitler. The tyrannical leadership of Stalin over road his success in WW II. History is looking at the biggest affect he had on his country and the world, that was his tyrannical leadership after the war.

Churchill is best known for saving the UK, Europe and the world from the tyranny of Hitler. Britain was one of the few countries to enter WW II without being attacked. Nothing Churchill did surpassed his success in WW II. The success in WWII over rides smaller mistakes he made.

FDR sought out war? That just shows how you ignore the facts. We were attacked you idiot!!! Did you ever hear about Pearl Harbor. Up to that point FDR had refused to enter the war.
FDR did make big government reforms to pull us out of the depression. He made the changes well within the constitution. The lack of government regulation created the great depression. The solution required more government reform and it worked. If it had not worked history would not be kind to FDR.

Cheney did nothing bigger than how he bungled Iraq. History will judge him accordingly.

Did you ever hear about Pearl Harbor.

Did you ever hear about Oil embargoes? Saber rattling? Positioning the fleet for a quick strike at Honshu?
It was the American People who refused to go to war, Roosevelt wanted, nay NEEDED an excuse. Because his unconstitutional socialist policies had FAILED to end the recession and in fact deepened it to a great depression.

You're too ignorant to be believable, except for the simple fact that education in America is at a nadir.
Is that your excuse?

Top Ten Liberal Lies

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are a lot of them, here are some

1) Hussein had no ties with Al Qaida.

Wrong! According to the DOD and CIA Hussein had ties with Al Qaida that went back a decade.

Case Closed | The Weekly Standard

2) Hussein had no WMD

Wrong.

Obviously, Hussein had WMD, he used them.

According to Iraq's 2nd in command of the airforce and Israel's chief of intelligence they were moved to Syria.

Iraq's WMD Secreted in Syria, Sada Says - January 26, 2006 - The New York Sun

http://www.nysun.com/foreign/saddams...li-says/24480/

3) Pres. Bush lied about WMD and therefore is guilty of war crimes.

Wrong.

Pres. Bush just got into office when 911 occurred. The whole democrat leadership spoke of Hussein's WMD and his biological and nuclear program. This includes Bill Cinton, Hillary, Gore, Barney Frank, John Kerry, among others. If Pres. Bush lied your entire democrat leadership lied too.

What Democrats said about Weapons of Mass Destruction

4) Pres. Bush were torturing terrorist left and right.

Wrong.

Waterboarding was done only to 3 arch Al Qaida terrorists

5) Wateboarding was not only evil it also didn't didn't get any information out of the terrorists

Wrong.

According to a CIA declassifed memo by Obama, the three terrorists didn't cooperate before being waterboarded. When asked about terrroist attacks, they simply responded ominously "soon you will know."

Because of the wateboarding a terrorist attack of a plane crashing into a Los Angeles building was thwarted.

JEFFREY: Waterboarding saved L.A. - Washington Times

6) Global warming is a fact that is undisputed

Wrong.

According to the founder of the weather channel, global is a hoax that is centered around getting money

FOXNews.com - Weather Channel Founder Blasts Gore Over Global Warming Campaign

7) Small business is not taxed enough, and they are rich anyway, they can afford it

Wrong.

Small businesses are made up of people, believe it or not. Those that had the balls to take a risk and go on their own. They are the ones who provide the jobs.

When the government confiscates more of their money, that is less money they have to operate, which could mean laying off people or closing

8) We are better off when the wealthy pay more taxes

Wrong.

The only time you are better off is if you benefit. Unless you directly benefit from someone else being punished there is nothing good that comes from other people being "punished".

Raising taxes does not create jobs, it hurts jobs.

9) Republicans stopped Obama's agenda. They are obstructionists

Wrong.

The democrats had supermajorities. They could have passed anything they wanted without one republican vote.

10) We are not in a war with Al Qaida

Wrong.

Yes we are.

I suppose you think the world is flat and 9/11 was an inside job.

I can always rely on liberals to make up their own facts and live in their own reality.

That's because the war was in Iraq, dummy.

Based on Hussein's 2nd in command in the air force and the chief of Israeli counterintelligence they were moved to Syria.

There was also sarin and mustard gas found in Iraq.

America wasn't greeted as liberators. Why?
Your premise is wrong. Who do you think knocked down that big statue of Hussein? Democraps?

Who is the major state sponsor of terrorism that dropped out?

Could you please write in english? Hussein who was a major sponsor of terrorism is no longer there.

The attacks that waterboarding prevented was a total fabrication. The dates don't match up.

You guys are so silly. I can show you a Obama declassified memo of the DOJ to the CIA, and you just don't care because it totally destroys your silly arguments.

Here it is...again.

Pres. Bush was the greatest president in my lifetime. He did something no other president ever did. He took the fight to the terrorists. Instead of answering terrorist attacks within America with impotence such as shooting missiles at empty tents, he eliminated two major state sponsors of terrorism, and made the battlefield where the terrorists have been hiding and not within America.

It's a shame that liberals are just too stupid and ignorant to realize it.

FDR, Winston Churchill .....

Amazing, how so few read history. Any knowledge at of all of the period has to make both men among the smartest politicians of all time.

"The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter." Winston Churchill

"Man will occasionally stumble over the truth, but usually manages to pick himself up, walk over or around it, and carry on." Winston S. Churchill

"A fanatic will not change his mind, or the conversation."- Sir Winston Curchill

not sure where your hatred for churchill and FDR are coming from.

Churchill was responsible in large part for British bumbling at the end of WWI - if he had handled his part of the diplomacy better WWII might have been averted. During WWII Churchill did OK, but he should have pushed the Germans more in '42 - Yugoslavia caused more havoc for the German command than Britain because they coordinated their attacks to relieve pressure around Stalingrad.

FDR - hello, the father of American socialism. His inept handling of the Depression made it longer and worse than any other. Saddled taxpayers with social security. What more need be said against him.

And both of my grandfathers and my father and mother, who lived through the First Great Republican Depression, thought that FDR did very well.

Your revision of history simply won't fly. Been done too many times by other ideological wingnuts.

that's funny, numbnuts. you call it the republican depression and yet you want to fix this current situation the same way Hoover tried to.

Wow.. I stumbled in to the "guys who obsess over Dick Cheney" forum, wonderful.

Is it the "Dick" part that gets you sissies going?
