The real story of OBL is rather prosaic and un-epic. The CIA used the Bin Laden Construction company as a cover to move mercenaries, mujahideen recruits and equipment to Pakistan during the Soviet-Afghan war.

Osama, as a family member and employee, was working in Pakistan for the legit company projects then.

It's unclear that he was recruited as asset, it's possible, but would have been redundant as he was already doing the job. He was assuredly aware of what was going on and collaborated to the Afghan resistance that way.

However, the sheer crassness and utilitarian aspects of the Afghanistan operation seem to have radicalized him against the US.

That's way duller than saying he was an American Spy who switched against the US like some sort of Bond villain.

You need to read up on the history of the Ukraine.
It is not a separate country really.
Kyiv used to be the capital of Russia, and it moved to Moscow only to escape the Mongol invasion of 1200.
The only people in the Ukraine who are not ethnic Russian are the descendants of the failed Polish invasion of 1700.
That is who the Azov Battalion is comprised from.
They are very racist and fascist.

And regardless of history, the facts are the Ukraine used to have Russian nukes, so had to be inside the Russian defense grid.
That means if NATO were allowed to install nukes there, Russia could not detect their launch.
Which means the Ukraine can never be allowed to join NATO.
If it ever looked like the Ukraine was joining NATO, then both Kyiv and the US would have to be nuked pre-emptively.
This is NOT Russia's fault in any way.
